Flying into Moscow and Russia for the first time, my wife and I were looking for a taxi from Sheremetyevo to center city. The hotel and our travel agent both quoted $150US. I found WelcomeTaxi on TripAdvisor and could not have been more pleased. Did several email inquiries to confirm legitimacy and reliability of company; all answered with great specificity within 30 minutes in fluent English. Quoted ~ $50 for fare. Paid in advance by credit card, adding extra few dollars to ensure English language driver. Was emailed name and cell phone of driver a few days in advance. Also offered a cellphone nano SIM card for my iPhone with Beeline, one of two major Russian carriers, at very reasonable price ~$25. Driver met us at Arrivals with our name clearly written on sign and walked us to car in short term parking garage. Had SIM card with him and showed how to activate. That preloaded SIM card lasted all ten days in Russia - no calls but texts and internet usage. Driver was friendly and excellent English; free lancer who drives for WelcomeTaxi and another company. Gave us good running commentary on drive in. Driver did not expect tip but gave him one. Total fare incl. tip was less than $60. (Trip took a little over an hour on a Sunday early evening; Moscow has terrible traffic and not much freeways).
One of the best services I have found for travel. Could not recommend highly enough.
