FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How far in advance should I book a ride?
Your transfer or hourly hire service should be booked at least 72 hours in advance. If you don't have that much time, you can book an urgent transfer. We will inform you as soon as possible whether we can provide the service or not.
What pick-up time should I specify for transfer?
If you require a transfer from an airport or railway station, we recommend that you specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This will make it easier for the driver to organize the meeting.
If you require a transfer from a hotel to an airport, please state the time you wish to be met at reception. You will need to calculate the departure time by yourself. We recommend that you add 3 hours for airport check-in to the time of the ride. The approximate time the driver will need to arrive at the airport is shown on the booking page. For example, if your flight departs at 14:00 and the transfer time is 1 hour, the pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
Once you have submitted the booking, you will receive an e-mail with detailed information about your booking, all the relevant information for your trip and with order status as "Waiting".
As soon as we receive and register your payment, your order status will be changed to "Accepted" and you will receive another email with the new order status.

How do I change my booking?
To change your booking, please contact our support at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Changes in your order requested less than 72 hours before the trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
There are two ways to cancel your booking:
- Via the booking page at our web site entering in the respective form field the cancellation number provided in the booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team, if it is less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we will not be able to refund the deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in the e-mail.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time.
If you become aware of a longer flight delay, please inform the driver by calling the phone number provided to you or contacting Customer Support via e-mail at office@welcome.taxi.
Provide the order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may request an additional fee for extra waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you added meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you at the arrivals area exit. It is located after the passport control and the baggage claim areas. Your driver will meet you with a nameplate displaying the first and last names you provided during the booking, or any other text you provided in your booking request.
Important note: We strongly recommend you to add the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel transfers, the driver will wait you in the lobby.
Detailed meet-up instructions can be found in your trip confirmation voucher. It will also include the driver’s telephone number.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
We guarantee that the driver will make their best to meet you.
The driver will have your phone/WhatsApp number and you will have theirs. Please keep your mobile phone switched on. If you cannot reach the driver, please contact our support team.
I cannot find my driver. What I have to do?
If you can't find the driver, please check the names on the nametags again. The driver may not have noticed when you passed by.
Try to contact the driver by phone/WhatsApp. If the driver did no respond and did not contact you during the meeting time, please contact our support team.
Finally, go to the Information desk to book a taxi from the airport or train station to the city, from the hotel to the airport or train station, or for any other route our driver was supposed to take you.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your money.
Zhukovsky (also known as Ramenskoye) is an international airport, located 36 km (22 mi) southeast of Moscow downtown, in the city of Zhukovsky. With its 1.1 million passengers served in 2018, it is the smallest of the four Moscow international airports.
How to get from Zhukovsky airport to Moscow
Zhukovsky is the most distant and the less busiest airport in Moscow. It makes transportation to and from this airport much more complicated in comparison with three other Moscow airports.
Public transport
This is the most complicated and inconvenient transportation option, as far as it concerns Zhukovsky airport. From the airport, you have to take shuttle bus to Otdykh railway station, which runs approximately every 30-40 minutes from 7 am to 11 pm and covers the distance of 20 km in about 35 minutes. On the station, you will get in suburban Sputnik train which departs approximately every 20-30 minutes and in one hour arrives to Kazansky railway station of Moscow. From there you are free to proceed in any direction to your final destination, using Moscow metro and public transport.
Taxi
Not only in Zhukovsky but in any other Russian airport you will never find metered cabs waiting for their passengers in a queue, as it usually happens in any European airport. Instead, you can use one of local Uber-like apps: Yandex.Taxi, Gett or Uber Russia (your original Uber app will not work here). However, apparently none of taxi companies holds their cabs basing in Zhukovsky airport, due to small amount of passengers here and long distance from the city. Therefore, attempt to order a taxi from Zhukovsky airport may turn as a challenge: most probably, you will need to wait 20-25 minutes if any available taxi will be found at all.
Be aware: almost for sure, it will be impossible to link your American or European credit card with either of these apps. Therefore, prepare some cash rubles before to get in your long-awaited taxi.
And - last but not least - do not forget about safety. Since the most of Moscow cabbies are underpaid young immigrants from Central Asian countries who spend 12, 15 or even more hours in their cabs to cover the car rent and to gain some money in their pocket at the end of shift, your safety may become a quite serious issue.
Pre-booked transfer
Therefore, the most reliable, safe and convenient way to get from Zhukovsky airport to Moscow is to book your transfer in advance and pre-pay it online.
