Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book a ride?

We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.

What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?

If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.

If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.

How do I know if my order has been accepted?

After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.

If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.

How do I change my booking?

To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.

Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.

How can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your booking in two ways:

  1. Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
  2. By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?

If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.

If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.

Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.

How will I find my driver?

For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).

Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.

For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.

How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?

WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.

Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.

I can’t find my driver. What should I do?

If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.

Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.

If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.

Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Private Transportation in Tel Aviv and Central Israel

Tel Aviv is one of Israel’s principal destinations for international business, technology, culture, nightlife, architecture, and Mediterranean holidays. The city combines a long beachfront, modern commercial districts, historic neighbourhoods, major hotels, conference venues, restaurants, markets, museums, and the ancient port area of Jaffa.

The wider Tel Aviv metropolitan area extends well beyond the central beachfront. Business parks, residential districts, railway stations, hospitals, universities, exhibition venues, and neighbouring cities are distributed across a densely populated urban region. A pre-booked private transfer provides direct transportation without requiring passengers to navigate unfamiliar public transport connections or arrange several separate rides with luggage.

WelcomeTaxi provides private transfers and chauffeur service in Tel Aviv for individual travellers, couples, families, executives, corporate delegations, conference participants, and organised groups. Transportation can be arranged from the airport, hotels, private residences, offices, railway stations, hospitals, restaurants, marinas, and other accessible pickup points.

Airport Transfers from Ben Gurion International Airport

Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) is the main international airport serving Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and central Israel. It is located southeast of Tel Aviv and handles the majority of the country’s international passenger flights.

A private transfer from Ben Gurion Airport provides direct transportation to a hotel, apartment, office, private residence, hospital, railway station, or other confirmed destination. The vehicle is reserved specifically for the booking and is not shared with unrelated passengers.

Airport pickups can be arranged according to the flight details, arrival terminal, passenger count, luggage, and required vehicle category. Depending on the group size, travellers may request a sedan, minivan, van, minibus, or larger vehicle.

Passengers should provide the correct flight number rather than relying only on the scheduled arrival time. Terminal arrangements may vary according to the airline and flight, and accurate information helps determine the appropriate pickup location.

Return transfers from Tel Aviv to TLV are also available. Pickup time should account for the passenger’s location, road traffic, airport security procedures, airline check-in requirements, and possible seasonal demand.

Chauffeur Service in Tel Aviv

Chauffeur service is suitable for passengers who need a private vehicle for several appointments, multiple destinations, or a personalised schedule. A car and driver can be reserved for a specified number of hours or for a full day.

Hourly chauffeur hire can be used for corporate meetings, technology events, conferences, property visits, medical appointments, shopping, restaurant reservations, weddings, private events, and sightseeing. It reduces the need to arrange a new taxi after each stop and allows the day’s transportation to be planned in advance.

English-speaking drivers make communication easier for international passengers. Pickup locations, planned stops, waiting arrangements, and the final destination can be confirmed before the service begins.

For complex itineraries, passengers should provide complete addresses and approximate appointment times. Tel Aviv contains one-way streets, pedestrian zones, controlled entrances, and large commercial developments with several possible pickup points.

Transfers to Tel Aviv Hotels and Beachfront Districts

Many of Tel Aviv’s hotels are located along the Mediterranean coast, near the promenade, Hayarkon Street, and the central beach districts. Private transfers are available directly from Ben Gurion Airport to beachfront hotels, serviced apartments, private residences, and other accommodation.

Passengers should provide the complete property name and address because major hotel groups may operate several locations in the city. Apartment buildings can also have entrances on side streets that differ from the main postal address.

Transportation can be arranged between the beachfront and business districts, railway stations, restaurants, event venues, Jaffa, Herzliya, or destinations outside Tel Aviv. Chauffeur hire is useful for travellers combining meetings or sightseeing with an evening restaurant or cultural programme.

Jaffa Private Transfers

Jaffa, or Yafo, forms the southern part of Tel Aviv-Yafo and is known for its ancient port, historic streets, galleries, restaurants, flea market, waterfront, and cultural venues. It is a popular destination for sightseeing, accommodation, weddings, and private events.

Private transfers can be arranged between Ben Gurion Airport and hotels, apartments, restaurants, event venues, and accessible addresses in Jaffa. Transportation is also available between Jaffa and central Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Jerusalem, or other regional destinations.

Parts of Old Jaffa contain narrow streets, pedestrian areas, and restricted vehicle access. The driver may therefore use the nearest legal and practical pickup or drop-off point rather than stop directly outside the requested building.

Business and Corporate Transfers

Tel Aviv is an important international centre for technology, finance, professional services, start-ups, and corporate events. The city receives executives, investors, consultants, engineers, conference delegates, and business teams throughout the year.

Private transportation can be arranged between Ben Gurion Airport, hotels, offices, conference venues, restaurants, business parks, and neighbouring commercial districts. Chauffeur service is especially practical when a passenger has several meetings in different parts of the metropolitan area.

Important business locations extend beyond central Tel Aviv to areas such as Ramat Gan, Bnei Brak, Petah Tikva, Ra’anana, and Herzliya. A private vehicle can remain available between appointments and continue according to the confirmed schedule.

Vans, minibuses, and larger vehicles may be requested for corporate delegations or event participants travelling together. Detailed addresses and local contact numbers are particularly useful for office towers and controlled business campuses.

Transfers to Herzliya and the Coastal Districts

Herzliya is located north of Tel Aviv and is known for its marina, beachfront hotels, residential areas, restaurants, technology companies, and business parks. Private transfers can be arranged between Herzliya, Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and other destinations.

Transportation is also available to Ramat HaSharon, Ra’anana, Kfar Saba, Netanya, and additional coastal or suburban locations. Travel times can vary considerably depending on traffic along the principal metropolitan roads.

Passengers should provide the exact hotel, marina, office, or residential address. The term “Herzliya” may refer to the city centre, beachfront district, marina area, or business zone, each requiring a different route.

Railway Station Transfers in Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv is served by several railway stations, including Tel Aviv Savidor Center, Tel Aviv HaShalom, Tel Aviv HaHagana, and Tel Aviv University. These stations are located in different parts of the city and serve different neighbourhoods, business districts, and onward routes.

A private railway station transfer is convenient for travellers carrying luggage, families with children, corporate groups, and passengers connecting between rail and air services. Transportation can be arranged from a station to a hotel, residence, office, hospital, port, or destination outside Tel Aviv.

Passengers should provide the complete station name and scheduled train information whenever possible. Simply requesting pickup from “Tel Aviv station” is not sufficient because the city has several major terminals.

Transfers Between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem

Jerusalem is one of the most frequently requested destinations from Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport. Private transfers provide direct transportation to hotels, private residences, government offices, religious sites, hospitals, conference venues, and other accessible locations in the city.

A private journey is especially convenient for families, groups, passengers with substantial luggage, and travellers arriving when public transport is limited. Transportation can be arranged as a one-way transfer, return journey, or chauffeur-driven day itinerary.

Jerusalem contains historic districts, modern neighbourhoods, steep streets, security-controlled areas, and locations with restricted vehicle access. Passengers should provide the complete destination and any instructions supplied by their hotel, host, or event organiser.

Travel time depends on traffic, road conditions, the precise pickup and drop-off points, and current operating circumstances. A suitable margin should be allowed for airport departures and appointments with fixed start times.

Long-Distance Transfers from Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv is a convenient starting point for private road journeys to destinations throughout Israel. Long-distance transfers provide direct transportation without requiring passengers to change trains or buses and then arrange another vehicle to reach the final address.

Private transfers can be arranged to Haifa, Caesarea, Netanya, Acre, Nazareth, Tiberias, and destinations around the Sea of Galilee. Journeys are also available south towards Ashdod, Ashkelon, Beersheba, and other cities.

The Dead Sea is another popular destination from Tel Aviv. Transportation can be requested to hotels, resorts, visitor facilities, and accessible locations in the region. A day itinerary may also include selected stops, provided that sufficient time is allowed for the route and planned visits.

Longer journeys can be booked as one-way transfers, round trips, hourly services, or multi-day itineraries. Passengers should provide the route, pickup times, planned stops, overnight locations, approximate duration, and final drop-off.

Transfers to Haifa and Caesarea

Haifa is a major port city in northern Israel, known for its hillside districts, business activity, universities, hospitals, cultural sites, hotels, and access to the northern coastal region. Private transfers are available from Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport to any accessible address in Haifa.

Caesarea lies on the Mediterranean coast between Tel Aviv and Haifa. It is known for its archaeological park, harbour, residential communities, golf facilities, restaurants, and event venues.

A private chauffeur itinerary can combine Caesarea with other coastal destinations, subject to the available time. Travellers should reserve entrance tickets, guides, and venue appointments separately where required.

Private Transportation to the Dead Sea

The Dead Sea region contains hotels, spa resorts, beaches, nature reserves, and historic attractions. Private transportation from Tel Aviv offers a direct journey to the passenger’s specific hotel or meeting point.

Passengers planning a same-day return should consider the driving distance, time at each destination, weather conditions, and seasonal daylight. A chauffeur service can be arranged for a personalised itinerary with confirmed stops.

The driver provides transportation unless professional guiding services have been separately arranged. Travellers requiring historical, religious, or archaeological commentary should book a licensed guide independently.

Airport Transfers During Shabbat and Holidays

Public transport availability in Israel can be limited during Shabbat and certain Jewish holidays. Services may stop before Friday evening and resume after Saturday evening, with exact schedules depending on the date, route, and operator.

A pre-booked private transfer can provide door-to-door transportation when regular train or bus services are unavailable or inconvenient. Demand may be higher during these periods, so advance booking is strongly recommended.

Passengers should also consider holiday road traffic, changes in business hours, and possible access restrictions. Airport pickups and departures should be scheduled with sufficient time for current operating conditions.

Why Pre-Book Instead of Taking a Regular Taxi?

Regular taxis and app-based services can be useful for spontaneous local journeys. However, pre-booking provides greater certainty when airport timing, luggage capacity, a long-distance route, or a larger group is involved.

A private transfer confirms the date, pickup time, destination, passenger count, luggage requirements, and vehicle category before travel. Passengers do not need to search for a sufficiently large vehicle after arriving at the airport.

Pre-booking is particularly useful for families, corporate delegations, event groups, and travellers requiring vans, minibuses, child seats, or additional luggage capacity. The vehicle remains private and does not collect unrelated passengers.

For airport departures, business appointments, medical visits, regional journeys, and travel during periods of limited public transportation, an advance reservation provides better control over timing and pickup instructions.

Local Transportation and Useful Travel Information

Tel Aviv has urban buses, railway services, light rail connections, taxis, cycling routes, and pedestrian areas. Public transport can be efficient for many local journeys, but it may be less convenient with heavy luggage, young children, elderly passengers, or several travellers moving together.

Traffic can become heavy during weekday commuting periods, major events, road works, and holiday travel. Congestion is common around principal highways, business districts, railway stations, and airport approaches.

Passengers should provide addresses as precisely as possible. Tel Aviv contains similarly named streets, numbered buildings, towers with several entrances, and properties accessed from side roads.

Security procedures may affect entry to airports, government buildings, hotels, offices, hospitals, and event venues. Travellers should keep identification and booking information available and allow additional time where necessary.

Private Transfers for Business and Leisure Travel

Tel Aviv welcomes international tourists, executives, technology professionals, conference delegates, families, medical travellers, and event guests throughout the year. WelcomeTaxi can provide transportation for a single airport pickup, a return journey, several appointments, or a complete regional itinerary.

Services are available between airports, hotels, residences, offices, railway stations, hospitals, restaurants, tourist attractions, event venues, and destinations outside the city. Each booking is planned according to the route, schedule, passenger count, luggage, and required vehicle type.

By arranging transportation in advance, passengers receive a direct private service with an English-speaking driver and a suitable vehicle. Whether you require an airport transfer, chauffeur service, business transportation, railway station pickup, or long-distance journey from Tel Aviv, pre-booking provides greater comfort and control over your travel plans.
