Problems with card payments via

WelcomeTaxi customers trying to pay by credit card online via our payment facilitator may currently experience problems with their payments.

According to information provided by, “beginning on April 26, we were targeted with an aggressive distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attack by an unidentified party which has resulted in periodic service disruption. At no time has any data been breached—our merchants’ data and their customers' data has not been compromised and is not at risk. We are working to restore full service, and we will follow up with more information soon.”

In case of continued problems, we recommend our passengers to choose “Cash” instead of “Credit card online” as payment method. Our drivers will always assist you free of charge in finding an ATM to withdraw cash. They can also accept US dollars and euro, if you haven’t enough local currency.
