FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How far in advance should I book a ride?

Your transfer or hourly hire service should be booked at least 72 hours in advance. If you don't have that much time, you can book an urgent transfer. We will inform you as soon as possible whether we can provide the service or not.

What pick-up time should I specify for transfer?

If you require a transfer from an airport or railway station, we recommend that you specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This will make it easier for the driver to organize the meeting.

If you require a transfer from a hotel to an airport, please state the time you wish to be met at reception. You will need to calculate the departure time by yourself. We recommend that you add 3 hours for airport check-in to the time of the ride. The approximate time the driver will need to arrive at the airport is shown on the booking page. For example, if your flight departs at 14:00 and the transfer time is 1 hour, the pick-up time should be 10:00.

How do I know if my order has been accepted?

Once you have submitted the booking, you will receive an e-mail with detailed information about your booking, all the relevant information for your trip and with order status as "Waiting".

As soon as we receive and register your payment, your order status will be changed to "Accepted" and you will receive another email with the new order status.

If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail, please contact our manager by e-mail at office@welcome.taxi.

How do I change my booking?

To change your booking, please contact our support at office@welcome.taxi.

Important note: Changes in your order requested less than 72 hours before the trip may be declined.

How can I cancel my booking?

There are two ways to cancel your booking:

  1. Via the booking page at our web site entering in the respective form field the cancellation number provided in the booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
  2. By contacting our support team, if it is less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we will not be able to refund the deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in the e-mail.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?

If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time.

If you become aware of a longer flight delay, please inform the driver by calling the phone number provided to you or contacting Customer Support via e-mail at office@welcome.taxi.

Provide the order number and the new arrival time.

Important note: The driver may request an additional fee for extra waiting time.

How will I find my driver?

For airport transfers, if you added meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you at the arrivals area exit. It is located after the passport control and the baggage claim areas. Your driver will meet you with a nameplate displaying the first and last names you provided during the booking, or any other text you provided in your booking request.

Important note: We strongly recommend you to add the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.

For hotel transfers, the driver will wait you in the lobby.

Detailed meet-up instructions can be found in your trip confirmation voucher. It will also include the driver’s telephone number.

How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?

We guarantee that the driver will make their best to meet you.

The driver will have your phone/WhatsApp number and you will have theirs. Please keep your mobile phone switched on. If you cannot reach the driver, please contact our support team.

I cannot find my driver. What I have to do?

If you can't find the driver, please check the names on the nametags again. The driver may not have noticed when you passed by.

Try to contact the driver by phone/WhatsApp. If the driver did no respond and did not contact you during the meeting time, please contact our support team.

Finally, go to the Information desk to book a taxi from the airport or train station to the city, from the hotel to the airport or train station, or for any other route our driver was supposed to take you.

Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your money.

Antalya Airport (IATA: AYT, ICAO: LTAI) is the main international airport serving Antalya, a major city on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. Located about 13 km northeast of the city centre, it acts as the primary gateway to the Turkish Riviera.

Overview

  • Opened: 1960

  • Ownership & Operation: Owned by Turkey’s state airports authority (DHMİ) and operated by Fraport‑TAV under a concession running to 2052.

Traffic & Rankings

  • Passengers: Around 38.3 million in 2024, making it the third-busiest airport in Turkey and one of the busiest in the Mediterranean & Middle East regions.

Infrastructure

  • Terminals: Three in total:

    • Domestic Terminal

    • International Terminal 1

    • International Terminal 2 (added in 2018 to handle growing traffic).

  • Runways:

    • Two concrete runways (18L/36R & 18C/36C), ~3,400 m each

    • One asphalt runway (18R/36L), ~2,990 m, often used by the Turkish Air Force.

Passenger Facilities

  • What’s inside: Free Wi‑Fi, duty‑free shopping, cafés, restaurants, lounges, ATMs, play areas, prayer rooms, car rentals, family & disability services.

  • Transit between terminals: Terminal 1 and Domestic Terminal are linked; Terminal 2 is about 4 km away and accessible via shuttle buses, taxis, or car.

Getting There

  • Transport options: Accessible by public buses (lines 600 & 800), HAVAŞ shuttles, Antalya’s tram (Antray), taxis, ride‑hailing, airport shuttles, and rental cars.

Why It Matters

  • Tourism hub: Booms during summer months, connecting the Antalya region with Europe, Russia, Middle East, and beyond.

  • Growth trajectory: Consistent passenger growth; airport expansion sees it poised to handle 65–80 M passengers annually .

  • Seasonal considerations: Extremely busy in summer; expect longer queues and potential delays .

In a Nutshell

Antalya Airport is a large, well-equipped international airport that plays a vital role for tourists heading to Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. With modern terminals, ample transport links, and ongoing expansion, it remains an essential hub for regional and international travel.

How to get from Antalya Airport to the city

Here are the main options to travel from Antalya Airport (AYT) to the city center:

1. AntalyaKart + Public Bus (Lines 600/800)

  • Bus 600: Runs every ~30 minutes, 24/7, connecting all terminals (T1, T2, T3) to Antalya Otogar (central bus station), ~40–45 min ride. Fare: ~3.6 TL (~0.7 €) with Antalyakart

  • Bus 800: Every ~2 h, goes to Lara and Konyaaltı beaches and parts of the city. Takes ~50–60 min. Similar low fare.

Reddit tip:

“You can use your credit card to pay ... AntalyaKart price is 15 liras”

2. AntRay Tram

  • Connects T1 (International) and Domestic Terminal to historic city center (Kalekapısı) and Otogar. Doesn’t serve T2 directly.

  • Runs every 10–20 min, journey ~35–40 min. Fare ~15–20 TL, payable via Antalyakart or contactless bank card.

Reddit says:

“You can pay the bus or tram by contactless credit card.”
