Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Airport Transfers and Chauffeur Service from Beirut Airport
Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY) is the principal international airport serving Beirut and the only operational commercial airport in Lebanon. Located just south of the capital, it provides convenient access to central Beirut as well as onward travel to coastal cities, mountain destinations and towns throughout the country.
WelcomeTaxi provides pre-booked private airport transfers from Beirut Airport to hotels, residences, offices and regional destinations. Passengers can organise their transportation before travelling and continue directly from the terminal with a professional English-speaking driver rather than arranging their onward journey after arrival.
Private transfers are suitable for individual travellers, couples, families, business passengers and larger groups. Chauffeur service and long-distance transfers can also be arranged for journeys beyond Beirut to destinations throughout Lebanon.
Getting from Beirut Airport to the City
Beirut Airport is located close to the capital, but road travel times can vary considerably according to traffic and the exact destination. The main practical transportation options are taxis, private cars, hotel transfers and pre-booked private transfers.
The most suitable option depends on the final address, passenger number, luggage and whether travellers prefer to arrange transportation after landing or have the journey confirmed in advance.
Taxis at Beirut Airport
Taxis are available from the airport and provide direct transportation to Beirut and destinations farther across Lebanon. They are a practical option for passengers who prefer to arrange their journey after arrival.
A pre-booked private transfer provides greater certainty before the flight and can be particularly useful for families, groups, business travellers or passengers continuing directly beyond central Beirut.
Hotel and Private Transportation
Some hotels arrange their own airport pickups, while private transportation services are widely used for journeys between BEY and accommodation throughout Beirut.
Travellers who prefer an independent service can pre-book a private transfer directly to their hotel, residence or business address without arranging another vehicle after leaving the terminal.
Rental Cars
Rental vehicles can be useful for visitors planning an independent road itinerary through Lebanon. A car provides flexibility for travelling between Beirut, the coast and inland destinations.
For passengers who simply need transportation from the airport to their accommodation, however, renting a vehicle also means dealing with collection formalities, local traffic, navigation and parking. A chauffeur-driven transfer removes these additional steps.
Why Pre-Book a Private Transfer from BEY?
Pre-booking allows the airport journey to be organised before arrival. The pickup, destination, passenger number and vehicle requirements can all be specified in advance.
Door-to-door transportation is particularly useful for visitors arriving with luggage, families travelling together and passengers whose final destination is outside central Beirut.
A suitable vehicle can be selected in advance according to both passenger and baggage requirements, avoiding the need to depend on the next available local car.
For international visitors, travelling with an English-speaking driver can also make communication easier during the airport pickup and onward journey.
Transfers from Beirut Airport to Central Beirut
Central Beirut is the most common destination for passengers arriving at BEY. Hotels, offices, restaurants, shopping areas and cultural attractions are distributed across several central districts.
A private airport transfer provides direct transportation from the terminal to the exact hotel, apartment, residence or business address.
Journey times depend heavily on traffic conditions, so passengers travelling to meetings, events or onward departures should allow an appropriate margin.
Beirut Airport Transfers to Hamra
Hamra is one of Beirut's best-known hotel, business and entertainment districts and a frequent destination for international visitors.
A private transfer provides direct transportation from BEY to hotels, apartments, offices and other addresses in Hamra without requiring passengers to arrange local transportation after reaching the city.
Transfers to Downtown Beirut and the Waterfront
Downtown Beirut and the waterfront contain major hotels, restaurants, business destinations and leisure areas. These districts are easily reached by road from the airport, although travel time varies according to traffic.
A pre-booked transfer takes passengers directly to their accommodation or meeting point and can be particularly convenient after a long international journey.
Chauffeur Service in Beirut
WelcomeTaxi chauffeur service can be arranged for business schedules, sightseeing, events and personalised itineraries throughout Beirut and the surrounding region.
The city contains business districts, hotels, restaurants, universities and cultural destinations spread across a relatively compact but busy urban area. A private vehicle with driver allows passengers to travel according to their own programme rather than arranging separate taxis for each journey.
Hourly chauffeur service can also be useful for itineraries involving several meetings, events or sightseeing stops during the same day.
Business Travel from Beirut Airport
Beirut remains Lebanon's principal business, financial and administrative centre. International travellers frequently arrive through BEY for meetings, conferences and professional travel.
A pre-booked chauffeur can provide direct transportation from the airport to an office, hotel, conference venue or meeting location.
For schedules involving several appointments, chauffeur service can provide continuous transportation throughout the day.
Transfers from Beirut Airport to Jounieh
Jounieh is an important coastal city north of Beirut and a popular destination for hotels, restaurants, business travel and leisure stays.
A private transfer from BEY provides direct transportation to a hotel, residence or other address without requiring passengers to arrange another vehicle in Beirut first.
Transfers from Beirut Airport to Byblos
Byblos, also known as Jbeil, is one of Lebanon's most important historic and coastal destinations. It lies north of Beirut and is frequently visited for its archaeological sites, old harbour, restaurants and hotels.
A private airport transfer provides direct door-to-door transportation from BEY to accommodation in Byblos and can be particularly convenient for visitors travelling with luggage.
Transfers from Beirut Airport to Sidon
Sidon, or Saida, is a major coastal city south of Beirut and an important destination for business and leisure travel.
Private transfers can provide direct transportation from Beirut Airport to hotels, residences and business addresses in Sidon without requiring passengers to enter central Beirut first.
Regional Transfers across Lebanon
Beirut Airport is the natural starting point for road journeys throughout Lebanon. Private regional transfers can be arranged to coastal cities, mountain towns, hotels, resorts and business destinations across the country.
Because Lebanon is geographically compact, many destinations can be reached by road directly from the airport, although actual journey times depend heavily on traffic and road conditions.
This is particularly useful for families, groups and travellers carrying substantial luggage.
Long-Distance Transfers from Beirut Airport
Private long-distance transfers provide a direct alternative to shared transport when passengers prefer address-to-address travel.
Journeys can be arranged from BEY to destinations farther across Lebanon according to the required route and vehicle. Chauffeur service can also be useful for itineraries involving several stops or accommodation changes.
For longer journeys, passengers should allow extra time for traffic and road conditions, especially when travelling through the Beirut metropolitan area.
Beirut Airport and Alternative Airports
Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport is currently Lebanon's only operational commercial airport. Other airports within geographic proximity are located in neighbouring countries and are not normal alternatives for a Beirut airport transfer.
Damascus International Airport is more than 100 kilometres away in Syria, while airports in Israel and Cyprus involve international borders or sea crossings and serve completely separate travel markets.
For passengers travelling to Beirut or elsewhere in Lebanon, BEY is therefore the clear airport choice.
Useful Information for Arriving Passengers
Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport uses the IATA code BEY and is located immediately south of Beirut. It is Lebanon's only operational commercial passenger airport.
Taxis, private transportation and rental cars provide the main ground transport options from the airport. Passengers should plan for variable traffic conditions when travelling to Beirut or farther across Lebanon.
When booking a private airport transfer, passengers should provide the correct flight details, complete destination address, number of travellers and realistic luggage requirements.
With airport transfers, chauffeur service and long-distance private transportation available from Beirut Airport, travellers can arrange their onward journey before arrival and continue directly to Beirut or destinations farther across Lebanon.
