Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book a ride?

We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.

What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?

If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.

If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.

How do I know if my order has been accepted?

After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.

If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.

How do I change my booking?

To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.

Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.

How can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your booking in two ways:

  1. Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
  2. By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
    Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?

If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.

If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.

Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.

How will I find my driver?

For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).

Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.

For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.

How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?

WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.

Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.

I can’t find my driver. What should I do?

If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.

Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.

If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.

Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Airport Transfers and Chauffeur Service from Manila Airport

Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), commonly known as NAIA or Manila Airport, is the principal international gateway serving Metro Manila and one of the main entry points to the Philippines. The airport is located south of central Manila, between the cities of Pasay and Parañaque, with convenient road access to major commercial and residential districts such as Makati and Bonifacio Global City.

NAIA operates several passenger terminals, so knowing the correct terminal is particularly important when arranging an airport pickup. Airline and terminal assignments can change, and passengers should check their latest flight information before travelling. For visitors unfamiliar with Metro Manila, a pre-booked private transfer provides a straightforward way to continue from the airport without having to compare transportation options after arrival. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

Getting from MNL Airport to Manila

There are several ways to travel from Manila Airport to the city. The most suitable option depends on your destination, arrival time, luggage, group size and preference for convenience.

Private Airport Transfer

A pre-booked airport transfer is one of the simplest options for passengers who want direct transportation from MNL to their hotel, apartment, office or another address. Your vehicle is arranged in advance, so there is no need to negotiate with taxi drivers or organize a ride after collecting your luggage.

Private transfers are particularly useful for families, business travellers, passengers carrying several suitcases and groups requiring a larger vehicle. They can be booked not only to central Manila but also to Makati, BGC, Quezon City, Pasay, Parañaque and other parts of the metropolitan area.

Taxis and Ride-Hailing Services

Airport taxis and app-based ride-hailing services are available at NAIA. Terminal 3 has a centralized taxi and ride-hailing facility, while transport arrangements vary between terminals. Grab and other ground transportation services are also available from designated areas. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}

These options can work well for straightforward local journeys, particularly for travellers already familiar with Manila. However, waiting times, pickup locations and road congestion can make the process less predictable during busy arrival periods.

Public Transport

Bus and other public transportation connections are available around the airport and provide a lower-cost alternative. They can be practical for travellers with light luggage and flexible schedules, but usually offer less convenience for visitors travelling directly to hotels or destinations that require further connections.

For first-time visitors, families or passengers arriving after a long international flight, door-to-door transportation is generally easier than navigating several stages of local public transport with luggage.

Transfers from MNL to Makati and Bonifacio Global City

Makati and Bonifacio Global City are among the most common destinations for passengers arriving at Manila Airport. Both districts are major centres for international business, hotels, restaurants and serviced apartments.

Although MNL is geographically close to these areas, travel times in Metro Manila depend heavily on traffic conditions. A relatively short distance can take considerably longer during weekday commuting periods, around major junctions or when roads near the airport are congested.

Pre-booking a private vehicle is therefore useful when travelling to an appointment, conference or hotel check-in with a fixed schedule. Chauffeur service can also be arranged for travellers who require transportation between several meetings or locations during the same day.

Private Chauffeur Service in Manila

WelcomeTaxi provides chauffeur-driven transportation for passengers who need more than a simple airport-to-hotel journey. A private car with driver can be suitable for corporate schedules, diplomatic travel, events, shopping, sightseeing or a series of appointments across Metro Manila.

Instead of arranging a new taxi for every journey, passengers can use a chauffeur service tailored to their itinerary. This can be particularly convenient in a large metropolitan area where traffic conditions and travel times between districts are not always easy for visitors to estimate.

English-speaking drivers can be requested for WelcomeTaxi services, helping international travellers communicate more easily about pickup points, destinations and planned stops.

Long-Distance Transfers from Manila Airport

MNL is also a practical starting point for private road transfers beyond Metro Manila. Travellers can arrange long-distance transportation to destinations elsewhere on Luzon without having to return to the city centre to change vehicles.

Popular directions include Tagaytay and the surrounding Cavite area, Batangas, Subic Bay, Angeles City, Clark, Pampanga and other destinations in Central and Southern Luzon. Private transportation can be especially attractive for families or groups because luggage stays in the same vehicle and the journey can operate directly between the airport and the final destination.

For longer routes, travel time should be planned conservatively. Road conditions around Manila can vary considerably according to the hour and day of travel, while journeys outside the metropolitan area may involve expressways and toll roads.

MNL to Clark International Airport Transfers

Clark International Airport (CRK) is another important airport on Luzon. Located in the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga, it primarily serves Central and Northern Luzon but also provides an alternative airport option for travellers from the wider Manila region. Clark is connected with Metro Manila by major expressways. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}

Passengers with separate tickets may sometimes need to travel between MNL and CRK. Public bus connections between NAIA Terminal 3 and Clark Airport exist, while a private inter-airport transfer provides direct door-to-door transportation and is usually more convenient when travelling with substantial luggage, children or a tight itinerary. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}

Because MNL and CRK are in different parts of the greater Luzon region, sufficient time should always be allowed for road traffic when connecting between airports.

Why Pre-Book an Airport Transfer in Manila?

Manila has an extensive supply of taxis and ride-hailing vehicles, so a private transfer is not simply a substitute for the absence of local transportation. Its main advantage is predictability.

Your airport transportation is organized before the flight, the required vehicle category can be selected in advance, and the destination is already known to the service provider. This is useful after a long flight when passengers would rather proceed directly to their accommodation than compare queues, pickup areas or different transport services.

A pre-booked transfer is also easier to plan for groups requiring vans or minibuses, passengers with significant luggage, business travellers with scheduled appointments and long-distance trips where an ordinary city taxi may not be the most practical solution.

Understanding Manila Traffic

Traffic is one of the most important factors when planning transportation in Metro Manila. Driving times can vary greatly even on routes covering relatively modest distances. Rush-hour congestion is particularly relevant when travelling between the airport and Manila's major business districts.

When heading back to MNL for a departing flight, passengers should therefore allow a generous buffer rather than relying purely on the distance shown on a map. The correct terminal should also be confirmed before departure because NAIA uses multiple terminals and airline assignments may be revised. Current terminal and flight information is available through the airport operator. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}

Regional Travel from Manila

Manila is the main transportation hub for a large part of Luzon, making MNL a useful starting point for trips well beyond the metropolitan area. Private road transportation can connect arriving passengers directly with coastal destinations, resorts, business centres and provincial cities without the additional transfer involved in travelling first to a bus terminal.

A chauffeur-driven vehicle is particularly practical when several locations need to be visited on the same itinerary. Travellers planning meetings in different cities, private tours or multi-day journeys can arrange transportation around their actual schedule rather than adapting the trip to fixed public transport departures.

Booking a WelcomeTaxi Transfer from MNL

WelcomeTaxi offers international private transfer and chauffeur services for individual travellers, families, corporate passengers and groups. Depending on the journey and passenger requirements, different vehicle categories can be arranged for airport pickups, city transfers, chauffeur hire and longer journeys.

When booking your transfer, provide the correct flight and destination details and select a vehicle appropriate for the number of passengers and luggage. For longer journeys or more complex itineraries, arranging transportation in advance gives both the passenger and the transport provider time to prepare the route and suitable vehicle.

Whether you are travelling from Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport to a hotel in Makati, a business meeting in BGC, another airport or a destination elsewhere on Luzon, a pre-booked private transfer provides a comfortable and organized start to your journey in the Philippines.
