Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Airport Transfers and Chauffeur Service from Mineralnye Vody Airport
Mineralnye Vody International Airport (MRV), officially named after Mikhail Lermontov, is the principal aviation gateway to the Caucasian Mineral Waters region and one of the most important airports in southern Russia. Located close to the city of Mineralnye Vody, it provides convenient road access to Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk, Yessentuki, Zheleznovodsk and destinations farther across the North Caucasus.
WelcomeTaxi provides pre-booked private airport transfers from Mineralnye Vody Airport to hotels, sanatoriums, residences, business addresses and regional destinations. Passengers can organise their transportation before travelling and continue directly from the terminal with a professional English-speaking driver rather than arranging their onward journey after arrival.
Private transfers are suitable for individual travellers, couples, families, business passengers and larger groups. Chauffeur service and long-distance transfers can also be arranged for journeys throughout the Caucasian Mineral Waters region and to destinations farther across southern Russia.
Getting from Mineralnye Vody Airport to the City
Mineralnye Vody Airport is located only a few kilometres from the city itself. Passengers can continue by taxi, public transport, rail connections from Mineralnye Vody station or pre-booked private transfer.
The most suitable option depends on the final destination. Many passengers arriving at MRV are not staying in Mineralnye Vody itself but continue directly to one of the spa cities of the Caucasian Mineral Waters region.
Taxis at Mineralnye Vody Airport
Taxis are widely used for journeys from the airport to Mineralnye Vody and surrounding cities. They provide direct transportation and can be arranged after arrival.
A pre-booked private transfer provides greater certainty before the flight and can be particularly convenient for first-time visitors, families, groups and passengers continuing directly to Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk or another regional destination.
Bus and Local Transport
Local transport connects the airport area with Mineralnye Vody and the wider regional transport network. Passengers can also continue from the city by bus or train to other destinations in the Caucasian Mineral Waters region.
Public transport can be economical for travellers with light luggage and flexible schedules. A private transfer provides a simpler alternative when direct hotel-to-hotel transportation is preferred.
Rail Connections
Mineralnye Vody is an important railway junction with connections to Pyatigorsk, Yessentuki, Kislovodsk and other cities. Travellers arriving by air can continue to the railway station and complete their journey by train.
For passengers carrying luggage or travelling directly to a sanatorium, resort hotel or private residence, a pre-booked road transfer avoids the need to change between airport and rail transport.
Why Pre-Book a Private Transfer from MRV?
Pre-booking allows the airport journey to be organised before arrival. The pickup, destination, passenger number and vehicle requirements can all be specified in advance.
This is particularly useful at MRV because the airport serves an entire group of resort and spa cities rather than only Mineralnye Vody. Passengers may be travelling 20, 50 or more kilometres beyond the airport depending on their final destination.
Families and groups can reserve a vehicle with sufficient seating and luggage capacity rather than depending on the next available local taxi.
For international visitors, travelling with an English-speaking driver can also make communication easier during the airport pickup and onward journey.
Transfers from Mineralnye Vody Airport to Mineralnye Vody
Mineralnye Vody is the transport hub of the Caucasian Mineral Waters region and lies very close to the airport. The city provides railway, bus and road connections to surrounding spa destinations.
A private airport transfer provides direct transportation from MRV to a hotel, residence, railway station, office or other address within the city.
Mineralnye Vody Airport Transfers to Pyatigorsk
Pyatigorsk is one of the principal spa cities of the Caucasian Mineral Waters region and a frequent destination for passengers arriving at MRV. The city is known for mineral springs, sanatoriums, historic architecture and its association with the writer Mikhail Lermontov.
A private transfer provides direct transportation from the airport to a hotel, sanatorium, apartment or residence in Pyatigorsk without requiring passengers to change to a train or regional bus.
Transfers from Mineralnye Vody Airport to Kislovodsk
Kislovodsk is one of Russia's best-known spa resorts and lies farther south-west along the Caucasian Mineral Waters corridor. It is famous for its mineral water, sanatoriums, parks and mountain surroundings.
Rail services connect Mineralnye Vody with Kislovodsk, but a private airport transfer provides direct door-to-door transportation from MRV to the passenger's hotel or sanatorium.
This can be particularly convenient for visitors carrying several suitcases, families and guests travelling for longer spa stays.
Transfers to Yessentuki
Yessentuki is another major spa destination in the region and is internationally known for its mineral waters and health resorts.
A private transfer from Mineralnye Vody Airport takes passengers directly to hotels, sanatoriums and residences in Yessentuki without requiring an additional taxi after arriving by train.
Transfers to Zheleznovodsk
Zheleznovodsk is one of the closest spa towns to MRV and is known for its mineral springs, health resorts and mountain setting.
Its proximity to the airport makes direct road transportation particularly convenient. A private transfer provides door-to-door service to the passenger's hotel, sanatorium or residence.
Chauffeur Service in the Caucasian Mineral Waters Region
WelcomeTaxi chauffeur service can be arranged for business travel, spa stays, sightseeing and personalised regional itineraries.
The Caucasian Mineral Waters area contains several neighbouring cities, mountain landscapes, historic attractions and health resorts spread across a relatively compact region. A private vehicle with driver allows passengers to travel according to their own schedule rather than arranging separate taxis for every journey.
Hourly chauffeur service can also be useful for travellers visiting several spa towns, medical facilities, restaurants or attractions during the same day.
Transfers for Sanatorium and Spa Guests
Mineralnye Vody Airport serves a large number of travellers visiting the region for spa, wellness and medical stays. Sanatoriums and resort hotels are distributed throughout Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk, Yessentuki and Zheleznovodsk.
A pre-booked transfer provides direct transportation to the exact property and can be particularly useful for older passengers, families and travellers carrying luggage for an extended stay.
Regional Transfers across the North Caucasus
MRV is also a practical starting point for road journeys beyond the immediate Caucasian Mineral Waters area. Private regional transfers can be arranged to cities and mountain destinations according to the required route and vehicle.
Travellers whose final destination lies outside Mineralnye Vody can continue directly from the airport rather than entering the city simply to change transportation.
Long-Distance Transfers from Mineralnye Vody Airport
Private long-distance transfers provide an alternative to intercity buses and trains when passengers prefer direct address-to-address travel.
Journeys can be arranged from MRV to destinations elsewhere in Stavropol Krai and neighbouring regions. Depending on the route, this may include Stavropol, Nalchik and other cities within practical road distance.
For substantially longer journeys, rail or air travel may be more efficient, while a chauffeur-driven transfer remains useful when flexibility, personalised stops or direct hotel-to-hotel transportation is the priority.
Mineralnye Vody Airport and Alternative Airports
Mineralnye Vody Airport has by far the broadest route network in the surrounding region and is the natural airport for Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk, Yessentuki and Zheleznovodsk.
Nalchik Airport and Stavropol Airport are the closest significant scheduled alternatives. Nalchik is geographically closer to the central Caucasus, while Stavropol serves the regional capital farther north.
Both can be useful for particular itineraries when flight schedules are more convenient, although neither provides the same overall access to the Caucasian Mineral Waters region as MRV.
Useful Information for Arriving Passengers
Mineralnye Vody International Airport uses the IATA code MRV and ICAO code URMM. Its official full name is Mineralnye Vody M. Yu. Lermontov International Airport, honouring the Russian poet and writer closely associated with the North Caucasus.
The airport is one of the largest aviation gateways in southern Russia and serves both domestic and international routes. Its location makes it particularly important for travellers visiting the Caucasian Mineral Waters resort region.
When booking a private airport transfer, passengers should provide the correct flight details, complete hotel or sanatorium name, number of travellers and realistic luggage requirements.
With airport transfers, chauffeur service and long-distance private transportation available from Mineralnye Vody Airport, travellers can arrange their onward journey before arrival and continue directly to Mineralnye Vody, Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk, Yessentuki, Zheleznovodsk or destinations farther across the region.
