Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Private Transfers from Beijing Capital International Airport
Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) is the main international gateway to Beijing and one of the busiest airports in Asia. Located around 30 kilometers northeast of central Beijing, the airport serves millions of domestic and international passengers every year and connects the Chinese capital with destinations across the world.
For many visitors, arriving in Beijing can feel overwhelming at first. The city is enormous, traffic conditions vary significantly depending on the time of day, and language barriers may create additional challenges for international travelers. Pre-booked airport transfers offer a reliable and comfortable way to travel from PEK to hotels, business districts, tourist attractions, railway stations, and neighboring cities.
WelcomeTaxi provides private airport transfers and chauffeur service from Beijing Capital Airport with fixed pricing, professional drivers, and a wide range of vehicle options for individual travelers, families, groups, and corporate clients.
About Beijing Capital Airport
Beijing Capital International Airport has three large passenger terminals and handles both domestic and international traffic. The airport is a major hub for Chinese and international airlines and remains one of the key aviation centers in East Asia despite the opening of the newer Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX).
PEK serves travelers visiting Beijing for tourism, government, international business, trade fairs, and conferences. The airport offers extensive facilities including hotels, lounges, restaurants, shopping areas, and transportation links to the city.
Due to the size of the airport and the complexity of local transportation, many international passengers prefer to arrange transportation in advance rather than searching for a taxi after arrival.
Transportation Options from PEK to Beijing
Travelers arriving at Beijing Capital Airport can choose between several transportation options depending on budget, destination, and comfort preferences.
Airport Express Train
The Airport Express line connects PEK with the Beijing subway network. It is one of the fastest public transportation options for passengers traveling light and staying near subway-accessible areas.
However, navigating the subway system after a long international flight may be difficult for travelers with luggage, families with children, or visitors unfamiliar with Beijing.
Regular Taxis
Official airport taxis are available outside the terminals. While taxis can be convenient for short trips, communication may sometimes be challenging for international visitors, especially if the driver speaks limited English.
Traffic conditions in Beijing can also affect the final fare and travel time. During peak hours, journeys into the city may take considerably longer than expected.
Ride-Hailing Services
Chinese ride-hailing platforms operate at PEK, but many international visitors encounter difficulties using local mobile apps due to registration requirements, payment methods, or language limitations.
Private Airport Transfers
Pre-booked airport transfers remain one of the most comfortable and predictable transportation solutions from Beijing Capital Airport.
With WelcomeTaxi, travelers receive fixed pricing, professional service, and direct pickup from the arrivals area without waiting in taxi lines or navigating public transportation after landing.
Chauffeur Service in Beijing
Beijing is one of the world’s leading business destinations and hosts numerous diplomatic, corporate, and governmental events throughout the year. Chauffeur service is especially popular among business travelers who require reliable transportation between the airport, hotels, meeting venues, and exhibition centers.
Professional chauffeur service provides a higher level of comfort and convenience compared to standard taxi transportation. Drivers monitor flight arrivals, assist with luggage, and provide direct transportation according to the passenger’s schedule.
Business travelers often book transfers between PEK and major commercial districts such as Chaoyang, Wangfujing, Financial Street, Zhongguancun, and the Central Business District.
English-speaking drivers can also help international visitors navigate transportation logistics more comfortably during their stay in Beijing.
Long-Distance Transfers from Beijing Capital Airport
In addition to city transportation, private transfers from PEK are frequently used for long-distance travel across northern China.
Popular long-distance transfer routes include:
- Beijing to Tianjin
- Beijing to the Great Wall sections near Mutianyu or Jinshanling
- Beijing to Chengde
- Beijing to Baoding
- Beijing to Qinhuangdao
- Beijing to cruise terminals and railway hubs
Long-distance chauffeur service offers flexibility that public transportation cannot always provide, especially for travelers with complex itineraries, multiple stops, or significant luggage.
Private transfers are also practical for travelers arriving late at night or departing early in the morning when public transportation options may be limited.
Transfers Between PEK and PKX
Beijing currently operates two major international airports: PEK and PKX. Some international itineraries require passengers to transfer between airports, especially when combining domestic and international flights operated by different airlines.
The distance between Beijing Capital Airport and Beijing Daxing Airport is significant, and cross-city travel can take well over one hour depending on traffic conditions.
Pre-booked inter-airport transfers provide a straightforward and stress-free solution for passengers with tight schedules or substantial luggage.
Why Pre-Booked Transfers Are Popular in Beijing
Beijing is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world, and transportation conditions can be unfamiliar for first-time visitors. A pre-arranged airport transfer offers several important advantages:
Fixed Pricing
Passengers know the transportation cost in advance without concerns about route changes, meter calculations, or unexpected surcharges.
Flight Monitoring
Drivers monitor flight arrivals and adjust pickup times in case of delays.
Meet and Greet Service
Airport pickup service helps travelers quickly locate their driver after arrival at a large international airport.
Comfortable Vehicles
Private transfers are available for solo travelers, families, business passengers, and larger groups with different luggage requirements.
English-Speaking Drivers
Communication can be significantly easier for international visitors traveling in China.
Visiting Beijing
Beijing combines historic landmarks with modern urban development. The city is famous for attractions such as the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace, and nearby sections of the Great Wall of China.
Because distances inside the city are often larger than expected, private transportation can save substantial travel time, especially for visitors planning multiple activities in one day.
Many travelers also combine Beijing with regional destinations in northern China, making chauffeur-driven transportation a practical alternative to complex rail or domestic flight connections.
Choosing the Right Transfer Vehicle
The best vehicle option depends on the number of passengers and the amount of luggage.
Sedans are suitable for individual travelers and couples, while larger vans and minibuses are preferred for families, small groups, and corporate delegations.
For business travel, chauffeur-driven executive vehicles provide additional comfort for airport transfers, meetings, and long-distance journeys.
Booking transportation in advance also allows travelers to arrange child seats, additional luggage space, or multi-stop itineraries before arrival.
Reliable Airport Transfers in Beijing
Beijing Capital International Airport remains one of the main entry points to China for international travelers. Whether visiting Beijing for business, tourism, or regional travel, pre-booked airport transportation offers a reliable and comfortable alternative to navigating local transport after arrival.
WelcomeTaxi provides private airport transfers, chauffeur service, and long-distance transportation from PEK with professional drivers, fixed pricing, and convenient booking for travelers visiting Beijing and northern China.
