Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Private Transfers and Chauffeur Service in Marseille
Marseille is one of the Mediterranean's major port cities and an important gateway to Provence and southern France. Its historic Vieux-Port, coastal districts, beaches, cruise terminals and proximity to the Calanques make the city popular with leisure travelers, cruise passengers and business visitors. Marseille is also a practical starting point for journeys to Aix-en-Provence, Cassis, Avignon, Toulon and many other destinations across Provence.
WelcomeTaxi provides pre-booked private transfers in Marseille for airport arrivals, railway journeys, cruise connections, business appointments and regional travel. Instead of arranging transportation after arrival, passengers can reserve a suitable vehicle in advance and travel directly between their selected pickup point and destination.
Marseille Provence Airport Transfers
Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) is the principal airport serving Marseille and the surrounding region. Located near Marignane, northwest of the city, it handles domestic and international flights and provides the main air gateway for Marseille, Aix-en-Provence and much of western Provence.
A private Marseille Airport transfer is particularly convenient when arriving with luggage, children or several passengers. The driver can take passengers directly to their hotel, apartment, business address, railway station, cruise terminal or another destination without the need to change between different forms of public transport.
Transfers can also be booked from Marseille to Marseille Provence Airport. Advance reservation is especially useful for early departures, late arrivals and journeys where reliable door-to-door transportation is more important than finding a taxi at short notice.
Transfers Between Marseille Airport and the City
Popular destinations include the Vieux-Port, Le Panier, La Joliette, Prado, Castellane and hotels throughout Marseille. Private transfers can also connect Marseille Provence Airport directly with Marseille Saint-Charles railway station, the cruise port or addresses elsewhere in the metropolitan area.
For travelers continuing beyond Marseille, airport pickup can become the first stage of a longer journey through Provence. Passengers heading directly to Aix-en-Provence, Cassis, Avignon or another regional destination do not need to travel into central Marseille first.
Marseille Cruise Port Transfers
Marseille is one of the Mediterranean's major cruise ports. The port area is extensive, and cruise passengers may have to travel between terminals located some distance from the historic city centre. Managing buses, metro connections or local taxis can be inconvenient when traveling with several suitcases or as part of a group.
A pre-booked cruise transfer provides direct transportation between Marseille Provence Airport, Saint-Charles station, a hotel and the required cruise terminal. Transfers can also be arranged after disembarkation, allowing passengers to continue directly to an airport, hotel or another city without organizing transport at the port.
This service is particularly useful for families and groups who need a van, minivan or another vehicle with sufficient luggage capacity.
Chauffeur Service in Marseille
Chauffeur service is suitable for travelers who need more than a simple point-to-point ride. A vehicle with driver can be arranged for business meetings, corporate programs, events, sightseeing schedules and journeys involving several stops.
For business visitors, a chauffeur makes it easier to travel between hotels, offices, conference venues, the port and the airport while keeping the day's transportation under one arrangement. Leisure travelers can use chauffeur service for customized trips around Marseille or excursions through Provence.
English-speaking drivers can be requested for international travelers. Depending on local availability and the size of the group, vehicle options may include sedans, business-class cars, SUVs, vans, minibuses and larger vehicles.
Getting Around Marseille
Marseille has a developed public transportation network including metro, tram and bus services. Marseille Saint-Charles is the city's principal railway station and an important transport hub, while the Vieux-Port is one of the main reference points for visitors staying in the historic centre.
Public transport works well for many straightforward journeys, but Marseille covers a large urban area stretching along the Mediterranean coast and into surrounding hills. Hotels, beaches, residential districts, business areas and port facilities are not concentrated in one compact centre.
Private transportation can therefore be more convenient when passengers have luggage, need to visit several locations or are traveling to areas that require multiple public transport connections.
Road traffic should also be considered when planning airport, railway or cruise connections. Allowing additional travel time is sensible during weekday commuting periods, major events and the busy summer season.
Why Choose a Pre-Booked Transfer Instead of a Regular Taxi?
A regular taxi can be suitable for a simple journey within Marseille, but a pre-booked private transfer offers several advantages when the trip is connected with a flight, cruise departure, important appointment or long-distance itinerary.
The pickup location and destination are confirmed in advance, and an appropriate vehicle can be selected according to the number of passengers and amount of luggage. This is especially useful for families, groups and travelers carrying several suitcases.
Advance booking also reduces the need to search for transportation immediately after a flight or cruise. Groups can reserve a vehicle large enough to travel together instead of splitting between several taxis, while international travelers can request an English-speaking driver.
Transfers from Marseille to Aix-en-Provence
Aix-en-Provence is one of the most popular destinations near Marseille. Known for its elegant historic centre, Cours Mirabeau, Provençal markets and connections with the painter Paul Cézanne, it attracts both day visitors and travelers staying for several nights.
A private Marseille to Aix-en-Provence transfer provides direct transportation between hotels, railway stations, Marseille Provence Airport and addresses in Aix. It is particularly convenient with luggage or when several passengers are traveling together.
Transfers can be booked one way, as a return journey or as part of a wider chauffeur itinerary through Provence.
Private Transfers to Cassis and the Calanques
Cassis is another popular destination from Marseille. The small Mediterranean town is known for its harbor, coastal scenery and location beside the Calanques National Park. It is suitable for day trips as well as longer stays on the coast.
A private transfer to Cassis avoids the need to coordinate several stages of public transportation and provides a direct journey from a hotel, airport, railway station or cruise terminal.
The Calanques area has seasonal access restrictions and not every scenic location is directly accessible by vehicle. Travelers planning an excursion should therefore choose an appropriate road-accessible pickup or drop-off point. Chauffeur service can also be useful for combining Cassis, La Ciotat and other coastal destinations within the same itinerary.
Long-Distance Transfers from Marseille
Marseille's location makes it a convenient starting point for private long-distance transfers throughout Provence and southern France. Popular destinations may include Avignon, Arles, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, the Luberon, Toulon, Hyères and towns along the Mediterranean coast.
Long-distance private transfers are particularly useful when several people are traveling together, when passengers have substantial luggage or when the destination does not have a convenient direct rail connection.
Pickup can be arranged from a hotel, airport, railway station, cruise terminal or another specified location. For more complex itineraries, chauffeur service can combine transportation with intermediate stops, allowing travelers to visit several Provençal towns or attractions without renting and driving their own vehicle.
Regional Airport Connections
Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) is the main airport for Marseille and the most relevant choice for most international and domestic travelers visiting the city.
Toulon-Hyères Airport (TLN), located farther east along the Mediterranean coast, can also be relevant for some regional journeys, especially when an itinerary includes Toulon, Hyères or destinations in the Var department.
Private airport-to-city and airport-to-airport transfers can simplify journeys involving different arrival and departure points. Instead of combining regional trains, buses and taxis, passengers can travel directly between the required locations.
Travel Around Provence from Marseille
Marseille is well positioned for exploring Provence by road. Travelers can combine the city with historic destinations, Mediterranean resorts, wine regions and countryside locations that are not always easy to reach using direct public transportation.
Private chauffeur service is particularly useful for customized regional itineraries. A vehicle can remain available for several hours or for a full day, depending on the journey, making it possible to combine destinations such as Aix-en-Provence, Cassis, Arles or villages farther inland.
For travelers continuing to another city rather than returning to Marseille, a one-way long-distance transfer can provide a comfortable alternative to renting a car or organizing multiple transport connections.
Book Your Marseille Transfer in Advance
Pre-booked transportation is a practical choice for international arrivals, cruise passengers, families, business travelers and groups visiting Marseille. WelcomeTaxi provides airport transfers, city-to-city journeys, chauffeur service and long-distance transfers with vehicles selected according to the requirements of each trip.
Whether you are traveling from Marseille Provence Airport to the Vieux-Port, continuing from a cruise ship to Aix-en-Provence, arranging a private journey to Cassis or planning a longer route across Provence, advance booking provides a convenient door-to-door transportation solution.
