How to get from Sheremetyevo airport to Moscow
Aeroexpress
Aeroexpress trains leave for the city every 30-40 minutes with a night break. Travel time to Belorussky railway station is 50 minutes. From there you can go down to the metro and proceed to your final destination with public transport. It's quite convenient option, if you don't have big luggage and if you are more or less familiar with the city of Moscow and its transportation system.
Taxi
You don't find in a Russian airport a queue of metered cabs waiting for their passengers, like you do in every European airport. Instead, to take a ride from Sheremetyevo airport you are expected to use Yandex.Taxi, a company owning a Uber-like phone app. There is Uber too, but be aware: your original Uber app will not work in this country, you will need to install Uber Russia on your smartphone, since Uber few years ago has sold its brand in Russia to the same Yandex.Almost for sure, it will be impossible to link your American or European credit card with either of these local apps.
