Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN), sometimes called also as Valerio Catullo Airport or Villafranca Airport, is an international airport located 10 km (6.2 mi) southwest of Verona. It serves the provinces of Verona, Brescia, Mantua (Mantova), as well as Trentino-Alto Adige Südtirol autonomuos region, with summary population of more than 4 million people. In 2020, the airport served 1,040,555 passengers.
How to get from Verona Villafranca Airport to Verona
Bus
Verona Airlink (Line 199) connects Verona Villafranca Airport with Verona Porta Nuova train station (the main station of Verona). The bus is scheduled every 20 minutes, journey time is 15 minutes.
Taxi
There is no Uber or Uber-like ridesharing service in Italy, except Uber Black in Rome and Milan. The taxi rank can be found at the exit of the Arrivals Terminal. Verona taxis do not have flat rate from the airport to the city but instead charge according to taximeter. A typical fare from the airport to Verona city center costs 20-25 euro depending on the time of day. The journey should take no more than 15 minutes, unless travelling during rush hour. Be aware, that Italian taxi drivers usually do not speak English, therefore it will be useful not only to remember the name of your hotel, but also to have the exact address written in Italian.
