Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Private Transportation in Vicenza and the Veneto Region
Vicenza is an elegant city in northeastern Italy, situated between Verona, Padua, and Venice in the Veneto region. It is internationally known for the architecture of Andrea Palladio, its historic centre, Renaissance palaces, cultural institutions, jewellery industry, business events, and convenient position along one of northern Italy’s principal transport corridors.
The city attracts leisure visitors, architects, students, jewellery professionals, exhibitors, corporate travellers, wedding guests, and passengers exploring the wider Veneto region. Important destinations are spread between the historic centre, railway station, exhibition district, industrial areas, villas, surrounding towns, and the foothills north of the city.
A pre-booked private transfer provides direct transportation between airports, hotels, residences, railway stations, exhibition venues, factories, and tourist attractions. It is particularly useful for international arrivals, families with luggage, business delegations, and passengers travelling to locations outside the central railway network.
WelcomeTaxi provides private transfers and chauffeur service in Vicenza for individuals, couples, families, corporate passengers, event visitors, and organised groups. Transportation can be arranged from any accessible hotel, private address, office, factory, restaurant, venue, or meeting point.
Airport Transfers from Venice Marco Polo Airport
Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) is one of the principal international gateways for travellers visiting Vicenza and the Veneto region. It offers extensive domestic and international connections and is a practical arrival point for passengers combining Vicenza with Venice, Padua, Treviso, or other destinations in northeastern Italy.
A private transfer from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Vicenza provides direct door-to-door transportation without requiring passengers to take an airport bus, continue by train, and then arrange another vehicle to their final address.
The driver can take passengers directly to a Vicenza hotel, private residence, business address, exhibition venue, or destination in the surrounding province. The vehicle is reserved for the booking and does not make scheduled stops for unrelated travellers.
Airport pickup can be organised according to the flight details, passenger count, luggage, and required vehicle category. Depending on the size of the group, travellers may request a sedan, minivan, van, minibus, or larger vehicle.
Return transfers from Vicenza to VCE are also available. Pickup time should account for motorway traffic, possible congestion near Venice and Mestre, airport procedures, and the airline’s recommended check-in time.
Transfers from Verona Villafranca Airport
Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN), also known as Valerio Catullo Airport, is another important airport serving Vicenza. It is located west of the city and is particularly convenient for travellers combining Vicenza with Verona, Lake Garda, or destinations in the western Veneto region.
A private transfer from Verona Airport offers a direct journey to the passenger’s hotel, residence, office, factory, or event venue. This can be more convenient than taking an airport shuttle to Verona Porta Nuova station, continuing by train, and arranging local transportation after arrival in Vicenza.
Transfers can also be booked in the opposite direction from Vicenza to VRN. Additional travel time should be allowed during weekday commuting periods, trade fairs, major events in Verona, public holidays, and the peak summer season.
Transfers from Treviso Airport
Treviso Airport (TSF), officially known as Treviso Antonio Canova Airport, serves a range of European routes and is frequently used by low-cost airlines. It is a relevant arrival point for travellers heading to Vicenza, particularly when its flight schedule is more convenient than services to Venice or Verona.
A private transfer from TSF provides direct transportation to Vicenza without the need to travel first to Treviso station or Venice Mestre. The service is useful for passengers arriving in the evening, families with children, groups, and travellers carrying several suitcases.
Transportation can also be arranged from Treviso Airport to destinations outside Vicenza, including Bassano del Grappa, Marostica, Asiago, Padua, and other towns in Veneto.
Chauffeur Service in Vicenza
Chauffeur service is suitable for travellers who require a private vehicle for several appointments, multiple destinations, or a personalised itinerary. A car and driver can be reserved for a specified number of hours or for a full day.
Hourly chauffeur hire can be used for corporate meetings, factory visits, exhibitions, architectural tours, property inspections, restaurant reservations, shopping, weddings, and private events. It reduces the need to arrange a separate taxi after every stop and allows the day’s transportation to follow a planned schedule.
English-speaking drivers make communication easier for international passengers. Pickup locations, planned stops, waiting arrangements, and the final destination can be confirmed before the service begins.
For complex itineraries, passengers should provide complete addresses and approximate times for every stop. Industrial estates, villas, exhibition grounds, and rural venues may have several entrances or require specific access instructions.
Vicenzaoro and Exhibition Transfers
Vicenza is an internationally important centre for jewellery manufacturing and trade. The city hosts major exhibitions and professional events that attract buyers, designers, manufacturers, exhibitors, and delegations from around the world.
Private transportation can be arranged between Venice, Verona, or Treviso airports, Vicenza hotels, the exhibition district, factories, showrooms, and business meetings. During large events, demand for hotels and local transportation may increase significantly.
Chauffeur service is especially practical for exhibitors and buyers who need to combine fair attendance with supplier meetings, factory visits, dinners, and appointments elsewhere in the region.
Transportation can be provided for individual executives or groups travelling together. Vans, minibuses, and larger vehicles are available when colleagues, clients, or event guests need to follow the same programme.
Transfers to Vicenza’s Historic Centre
Vicenza’s historic centre contains many of the city’s principal landmarks, including the Basilica Palladiana, Piazza dei Signori, Teatro Olimpico, Palazzo Chiericati, churches, museums, restaurants, and elegant shopping streets.
Some central streets are pedestrianised or subject to restricted traffic regulations. A transfer vehicle may therefore use the nearest legal and practical pickup or drop-off point rather than stop directly outside a hotel or building.
Passengers staying in the historic centre should provide the complete accommodation name and any arrival instructions supplied by the hotel. Properties with private garages or authorised access may have specific routes that differ from general navigation directions.
Palladian Villas and Architectural Tours
Vicenza and its surrounding countryside are renowned for buildings designed by Andrea Palladio. Visitors may explore urban palaces as well as villas located in nearby towns and rural areas.
A chauffeur-driven itinerary is a convenient way to visit several architectural sites in one day, particularly when they are not easily connected by public transportation. Possible stops may include Villa La Rotonda, Villa Valmarana ai Nani, and other villas across the province and wider Veneto region.
Opening days, admission procedures, and access arrangements vary between properties. Passengers should check visitor information and reserve any required tours separately before confirming the transport schedule.
The driver provides transportation unless professional guiding services have been separately arranged. Travellers requiring detailed historical or architectural explanations should book an appropriately qualified guide.
Transfers to Bassano del Grappa and Marostica
Bassano del Grappa is a popular destination north of Vicenza, known for its historic centre, covered bridge, museums, local food, and access to the foothills. Marostica is famous for its medieval walls, castle, central square, and cultural events.
Private transfers can be arranged from Vicenza, any of the relevant airports, railway stations, or hotels elsewhere in Veneto. The two towns can also be included in a personalised chauffeur-driven sightseeing itinerary.
Transportation is available to private residences, wedding venues, restaurants, business facilities, and rural accommodation in the surrounding area. Precise addresses are important because some properties are located outside the town centres.
Asiago Plateau Transfers
The Asiago Plateau lies north of Vicenza and is known for its mountain scenery, villages, hiking, winter activities, local cuisine, and historic sites. The road journey involves climbing from the plain into the foothills and plateau area.
Private transfers can be arranged from Vicenza, Venice Airport, Verona Airport, Treviso Airport, or other regional locations to hotels and addresses in Asiago and neighbouring communities.
During winter, road conditions may be affected by snow, ice, weather restrictions, and equipment requirements. Passengers should provide the exact destination, travel date, luggage details, and any winter sports equipment when requesting transportation.
Railway Station Transfers in Vicenza
Vicenza railway station lies on the main rail corridor connecting Milan, Verona, Padua, and Venice. It is convenient for intercity travel, but passengers continuing to industrial zones, countryside villas, smaller towns, or mountain areas may still require a road transfer.
A private station pickup is useful for travellers with luggage, families, business groups, and passengers arriving late in the evening. Transportation can be arranged directly to a hotel, private residence, factory, exhibition venue, or regional destination.
Passengers should provide the train number and scheduled arrival time whenever possible. Significant delays should be communicated so that the pickup arrangement can be adjusted where operationally possible.
Long-Distance Transfers from Vicenza
Vicenza is strategically located for long-distance transfers across Veneto and northern Italy. Private transportation can be arranged to Venice, Verona, Padua, Treviso, Lake Garda, the Dolomites, Bologna, Milan, and other destinations.
Transfers to Venice usually end at an accessible mainland or road terminal, depending on the passenger’s final accommodation and onward arrangements. Hotels located within Venice’s historic islands cannot generally be reached directly by a standard road vehicle.
Lake Garda transfers are available to destinations such as Peschiera del Garda, Lazise, Bardolino, Garda, and other towns around the lake. Journey times vary significantly according to the precise destination and seasonal traffic.
Private transportation can also be arranged towards the Dolomites and mountain resorts. For winter journeys, current road conditions, vehicle suitability, luggage, and sports equipment should be considered in advance.
A regional journey may be booked as a one-way transfer, return service, hourly hire, or multi-day itinerary. For multi-day travel, passengers should provide the route for each day, planned stops, overnight locations, approximate duration, and final drop-off.
Why Pre-Book Instead of Taking a Regular Taxi?
Local taxis are available in Vicenza and may be convenient for spontaneous urban journeys. However, immediate availability can be limited during exhibitions, holidays, weekends, early mornings, and late evenings.
A pre-booked transfer confirms the pickup date, time, destination, passenger count, luggage requirements, and vehicle category before travel. Passengers do not need to search for a suitably sized vehicle after arriving at an airport or railway station.
Pre-booking is particularly useful for families, corporate groups, event guests, and travellers requiring vans, minibuses, child seats, or additional luggage capacity. The vehicle remains private and does not collect unrelated passengers.
For airport departures, business appointments, exhibitions, weddings, and long-distance journeys, advance booking also provides better control over timing and pickup instructions.
Local Transportation and Useful Travel Information
Vicenza has local buses, taxis, railway connections, and regional transport services. Public transportation is suitable for many central journeys, but it may not provide convenient direct access to industrial parks, countryside villas, mountain communities, or event venues.
The city is close to the A4 motorway corridor, which connects Turin and Milan with Verona, Vicenza, Padua, and Venice. Traffic conditions can vary according to commuting periods, accidents, road works, trade fairs, and holiday travel.
The historic centre contains restricted-traffic and pedestrian areas. Passengers should follow the accommodation’s arrival instructions and avoid assuming that every address is directly accessible by vehicle.
For factories, exhibition venues, villas, and private residences, a complete address, entrance name, local contact, and map location can help ensure the correct pickup or drop-off point.
Private Transfers for Business and Leisure Travel
Vicenza welcomes architectural travellers, business executives, jewellery professionals, exhibition visitors, wedding guests, families, and tourists exploring northern Italy throughout the year. WelcomeTaxi can provide transportation for a single airport pickup, a return journey, several scheduled transfers, or a complete regional itinerary.
Services are available between airports, hotels, residences, railway stations, exhibition venues, offices, factories, restaurants, villas, and tourist attractions. Each booking is planned according to the route, schedule, passenger count, luggage, and required vehicle type.
By arranging transportation in advance, passengers receive a direct private service with an English-speaking driver and a suitable vehicle. Whether you require an airport transfer, chauffeur service, exhibition transportation, architectural itinerary, or long-distance journey from Vicenza, pre-booking provides greater comfort and control over your travel plans.
