Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Private Transportation in Épernay and the Champagne Region
Épernay is one of the most important destinations in France’s Champagne region and an ideal base for exploring its vineyards, Champagne houses and historic villages. Surrounded by extensive vineyards, the town is internationally associated with Champagne production and is particularly famous for the Avenue de Champagne, where prestigious producers have established historic properties above vast networks of underground cellars.
WelcomeTaxi provides pre-booked private transfers and chauffeur service in Épernay for airport transportation, hotel pickups, railway station transfers, winery visits and long-distance journeys. Vehicles can be arranged between Épernay and Paris airports as well as destinations throughout Champagne, including Reims, Hautvillers, Aÿ-Champagne and surrounding wine villages.
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Épernay
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) is one of the most important international gateways for travelers visiting Épernay and the Champagne region. Its extensive international flight network makes it particularly convenient for visitors arriving from outside France.
A private transfer from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Épernay provides direct door-to-door transportation from the airport terminal to a hotel, guesthouse or other address in the city. This can be especially convenient after a long international flight, when traveling with luggage or when passengers want to continue directly into Champagne without navigating rail connections.
Return transfers from Épernay to CDG can also be reserved in advance. Because airport journeys are time-sensitive, passengers should allow sufficient time for road traffic as well as airline check-in requirements.
Paris Orly Airport to Épernay
Paris Orly Airport (ORY) is another useful gateway for travelers heading to Épernay, particularly when arriving on domestic or European flights. Although the journey is longer than from some regional airports, private transportation provides a straightforward connection between the terminal and Champagne.
Passengers can book a direct transfer from Orly Airport to an Épernay hotel, residence or Champagne property without changing trains or arranging onward transportation in Paris. The service can also be booked from Épernay to ORY for departing flights.
Châlons Vatry Airport and Regional Arrivals
Châlons Vatry Airport (XCR) is geographically much closer to Épernay than the major Paris airports and can be a convenient regional gateway when suitable flights are available. It lies approximately 40 kilometers from Épernay and can be reached directly by private vehicle.
Because flight schedules at Vatry are more limited than at Charles de Gaulle or Orly, many international travelers still arrive through Paris. However, passengers using XCR can arrange a direct transfer to Épernay or another destination in the Champagne region.
Transfers to the Avenue de Champagne
The Avenue de Champagne is Épernay’s most famous address and one of the principal attractions of the Champagne region. The avenue is lined with impressive historic residences and major Champagne houses, while extensive cellars run beneath the surrounding streets.
Private transfers can be arranged directly to hotels, Champagne houses and accessible addresses around the Avenue de Champagne. The avenue is also close to Épernay railway station, making it easy to combine rail travel with a pre-booked local or regional transfer.
Visitors planning tastings at several Champagne houses may prefer chauffeur service rather than separate point-to-point journeys. This provides a vehicle and driver for an agreed period while passengers follow a customized wine-tourism itinerary.
Champagne Winery Transfers
Épernay is surrounded by vineyards and wine villages, making private transportation particularly useful for Champagne tourism. Many estates and smaller producers are located outside the town center, where public transportation may be limited or unsuitable for visitors planning several appointments during the same day.
Pre-booked transportation can connect Épernay with Champagne houses, vineyards, tasting rooms and accommodation throughout the surrounding countryside. Passengers can plan a route in advance and reserve sufficient time for each visit.
Because Champagne tastings often form part of the itinerary, having a professional driver also allows all members of the group to enjoy the experience without needing to drive afterward.
Chauffeur Service in Épernay
Chauffeur service is particularly well suited to Épernay because many visitors want to explore several Champagne villages and producers during the same day. A vehicle and driver can be reserved for several hours and follow a planned itinerary between wineries, restaurants, hotels and sightseeing locations.
English-speaking drivers are available on selected vehicles and can be helpful for international visitors traveling between smaller villages and rural properties. The service duration and planned stops should be arranged in advance so that sufficient time is reserved for the complete itinerary.
Épernay to Hautvillers Transfers
Hautvillers is one of the best-known villages near Épernay and is closely associated with the history of Champagne. Located among vineyards above the Marne Valley, it is a popular destination for visitors exploring the region by road.
Private transfers between Épernay and Hautvillers can be booked for winery visits, sightseeing, restaurant reservations or accommodation. The village can also be included as one stop within a longer chauffeur itinerary through the surrounding vineyards.
Épernay to Aÿ-Champagne
Aÿ-Champagne is another important wine destination close to Épernay, with prestigious Champagne producers and vineyards in the surrounding hills. Its proximity makes it a natural destination for private transfers and multi-stop wine tours.
Passengers can arrange direct transportation between Épernay and Aÿ-Champagne or combine the village with Hautvillers and other nearby locations during an hourly chauffeur service.
Épernay to Reims Transfers
Reims and Épernay are the two most important urban centers for visitors exploring Champagne, but each has a distinct character. Reims combines Champagne tourism with a larger city center, cathedral and extensive cultural heritage, while Épernay is particularly focused on vineyards, Champagne houses and the Avenue de Champagne.
Private transfers between Épernay and Reims are useful for travelers combining both destinations during the same trip. Transportation can be arranged between hotels, railway stations, restaurants and Champagne houses without relying on a fixed train schedule.
Épernay to Paris Private Transfers
Private long-distance transportation can also be booked between Épernay and Paris. This can be convenient for travelers staying in central Paris before or after visiting Champagne, particularly when carrying luggage or traveling as a family or group.
Door-to-door service avoids the need to travel between a hotel and a railway station at both ends of the journey. Transfers can be arranged directly between Épernay accommodation and hotels, residences or other accessible addresses in Paris.
Épernay Railway Station Transfers
Épernay railway station provides connections with Reims and Paris and is located close to the town center and Avenue de Champagne. Private transfers can be arranged from the station to hotels, Champagne estates and villages elsewhere in the region.
This is especially useful when a passenger’s final accommodation is outside Épernay or when a winery itinerary begins immediately after arrival. Return transportation to the station can also be scheduled around the passenger’s train departure.
Hotel and Vineyard Accommodation Transfers
Accommodation in and around Épernay ranges from central hotels and guesthouses to vineyard properties and countryside stays. Private transportation can be arranged directly to the passenger’s accommodation whenever road access is available.
Travelers staying outside the town center should provide the complete property name and address. Rural Champagne addresses can sometimes be spread across small villages and vineyards, so precise destination information helps ensure a smooth pickup or arrival.
Exploring the Champagne Villages
Épernay is a practical base for journeys through the Marne Valley and surrounding Champagne vineyards. In addition to Hautvillers and Aÿ-Champagne, travelers can visit smaller wine villages, independent producers and scenic vineyard areas throughout the region.
For a single destination, a point-to-point private transfer may be sufficient. For an itinerary involving several Champagne houses or villages, hourly chauffeur service provides greater flexibility and avoids arranging a new vehicle for every stop.
Choosing the Right Vehicle
The appropriate vehicle depends on the number of passengers, luggage and type of itinerary. Sedans are generally suitable for individuals, couples and small groups, while larger parties may prefer a minivan or van.
Groups planning full-day winery itineraries should also consider comfort over longer service periods. Passengers carrying unusually large luggage should provide this information when booking so that a vehicle with sufficient capacity can be selected.
Private Transfer or Local Taxi?
Local taxis can be convenient for spontaneous short journeys within Épernay. A pre-booked private transfer is more suitable for airport journeys, scheduled winery visits, long-distance transportation and itineraries that require a specific vehicle at a specific time.
For Champagne tourism in particular, chauffeur service offers an advantage when several rural destinations are included. The vehicle remains available for the agreed period, reducing the need to find transportation after each tasting or winery visit.
Planning a Champagne Transfer
Winery visits and tastings often operate according to fixed reservation times, so travel between appointments should be planned carefully. Passengers should allow enough time for rural roads, parking and movement between properties rather than scheduling visits too closely together.
Airport transfers should also include an appropriate time buffer, especially when traveling toward Paris. Road conditions can vary, and passengers should take airline check-in requirements into account when selecting their pickup time.
Book a Private Transfer in Épernay
WelcomeTaxi provides pre-booked private transfers and chauffeur service in Épernay for airport transportation, railway station pickups, Champagne winery visits and long-distance journeys throughout the region.
Whether arriving from Charles de Gaulle Airport, Orly Airport or Vatry, traveling between Épernay and Reims, or planning a day among the vineyards and Champagne villages, a private vehicle provides convenient door-to-door transportation arranged around your itinerary.
