Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Airport Transfers and Chauffeur Service from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) is the main international airport serving Paris and one of the busiest air gateways in Europe. Located northeast of the French capital, CDG handles long-haul flights, European routes, domestic connections and major airline transfers. For many visitors, it is the first point of arrival in France and the starting point for travel to Paris, Disneyland Paris, the wider Île-de-France region and other destinations across the country.
WelcomeTaxi provides private transfers from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to hotels, apartments, business addresses, railway stations, event venues and long-distance destinations. Our service is designed for passengers who want a pre-booked vehicle, a clear pickup plan and a professional English-speaking driver instead of searching for transport after arrival.
About Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is a large airport with several terminal areas, extensive transport connections and a high volume of passengers throughout the year. The airport serves both leisure and business travelers, including passengers arriving for city breaks, corporate meetings, exhibitions, conferences, fashion events, family holidays and onward travel in France.
Because of its size, CDG can feel complex for first-time visitors. Terminal changes, luggage collection, passport control and walking distances may take longer than expected, especially after a long-haul flight. This makes onward transportation an important part of the arrival experience. A well-planned airport transfer can save time, reduce stress and make the journey from the airport to Paris or another destination much smoother.
Transportation from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Paris
There are several ways to travel from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to the city. The right option depends on your arrival time, luggage, group size, destination address and comfort expectations. Public transport can be efficient for some passengers, while taxis and private transfers are more practical for others.
RER B Train
The RER B is one of the main public transport options between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and central Paris. It connects the airport with major city stations such as Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Saint-Michel Notre-Dame, Luxembourg and Denfert-Rochereau. For solo travelers with light luggage and a destination near an RER or metro connection, it can be a fast and economical way to reach the city.
However, the RER B is not always the most comfortable choice after a flight. Trains can be crowded, station transfers may involve stairs or long walks, and passengers often need to continue by metro, bus, taxi or on foot to reach the final address. With large suitcases, children or a late arrival, a door-to-door transfer can be much easier.
Airport Bus and Public Bus Services
CDG is also connected to Paris by airport bus and public bus services, including routes that link the airport with transport hubs in the city. These options can be useful for budget-conscious travelers or passengers whose destination is close to a bus stop or onward metro connection.
The main limitation is that bus travel depends on road traffic and does not usually provide door-to-door service. After reaching Paris, passengers may still need another ride or a metro connection to reach a hotel, apartment or meeting point. For travelers with luggage or a tight schedule, this can make the journey less convenient.
Night Transport
For late-night or very early travel, night bus services may provide a public transport option when daytime train connections are limited. This can be useful for some passengers, but it is usually slower and less comfortable than a private transfer, especially after a long flight or before an early departure.
If your flight arrives late or departs early, a pre-booked airport transfer can be a more predictable solution. The pickup time is planned according to your flight and destination, and you do not need to manage night transport connections with luggage.
Regular Taxi and Ride-Hailing Services
Regular taxis are available at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and can be suitable for straightforward trips to Paris. Ride-hailing services may also operate depending on availability, demand and pickup arrangements. These options can work well for passengers who do not need a specific vehicle type and are comfortable arranging transport on arrival.
For larger groups, families, business travelers or passengers with special luggage requirements, relying on on-demand transport may be less convenient. Waiting time, vehicle size and meeting points can vary. A pre-booked private transfer gives you a clearer plan before you land.
Private Airport Transfer
A private transfer from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is a direct door-to-door service arranged before your trip. Your pickup, destination, passenger count and vehicle category are confirmed in advance. After arrival, you continue directly to your hotel, apartment, office, railway station or event venue without changing between train, bus, metro and taxi.
This option is especially useful for families, groups, business travelers, first-time visitors, passengers arriving after a long flight and anyone travelling with large luggage. It is also practical when your destination is outside central Paris or not close to a convenient public transport station.
Private Airport Transfers from CDG
WelcomeTaxi provides private airport transfers from CDG to central Paris, La Défense, Disneyland Paris, Versailles, major railway stations and addresses across the Île-de-France region. Transfers can also be arranged between CDG and other Paris airports, including Orly Airport, Beauvais Airport and Le Bourget Airport.
For hotel arrivals, a private transfer offers a simple start to the trip. For airport departures, it helps ensure that pickup time is planned with road traffic, terminal location and flight schedule in mind. Paris traffic can be unpredictable, especially during rush hours, public holidays, major events and periods of heavy travel demand.
Private transfers are also helpful for passengers connecting to train services. Paris has several major railway stations, including Gare du Nord, Gare de Lyon, Gare de l’Est, Gare Montparnasse, Gare Saint-Lazare and Gare d’Austerlitz. A direct transfer from CDG to the correct station can be easier than navigating the RER and metro network with luggage.
Chauffeur Service from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
WelcomeTaxi also provides chauffeur service from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for passengers who need more than a simple airport-to-city transfer. A chauffeur service can be arranged for business meetings, corporate roadshows, exhibitions, fashion events, private appointments, shopping trips, sightseeing schedules and multi-stop itineraries in Paris and the surrounding region.
Hourly chauffeur service is practical when your day includes waiting time or several stops. Instead of arranging separate rides between each address, you can keep a vehicle and driver available for a defined period. This is often the most convenient option for executives, VIP guests, travel agents, families and small groups who want flexible private transportation after arriving at CDG.
Transfers from CDG to Disneyland Paris
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is one of the most convenient airports for travel to Disneyland Paris. Many families arrive at CDG before continuing to hotels and resorts near Marne-la-Vallée. Public transport is possible, but it may involve waiting, transfers or additional local travel depending on the schedule and hotel location.
A private transfer from CDG to Disneyland Paris provides a direct ride from the airport to your hotel or resort entrance. This is especially helpful when travelling with children, strollers and luggage. Instead of managing station changes after a flight, passengers can continue directly to their accommodation.
Long-Distance Transfers from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
CDG is also a practical starting point for long-distance transfers in France and neighboring countries. WelcomeTaxi can arrange private transportation from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to destinations such as Reims, Rouen, Amiens, Lille, Normandy, Champagne, Burgundy, the Loire Valley and other regions depending on the itinerary.
Long-distance private transfers are useful when the final destination is not close to a major railway station or when public transport would require several changes. They are also suitable for passengers travelling with sports equipment, business materials, large luggage or a schedule that does not match train departures.
For international or cross-border travel, a private transfer can offer a more flexible alternative to combining airport transport, trains and local taxis. Routes can be planned according to the exact address, number of passengers, luggage requirements and timing.
Why Pre-Book a Transfer Instead of Taking a Regular Taxi?
A regular taxi may be suitable for a simple airport journey, but it does not always provide the same level of predictability as a pre-booked transfer. At a major airport like CDG, passengers may face queues, changing pickup points or limited choice of vehicle size during busy arrival periods.
With a pre-booked airport transfer, your transportation is arranged before you travel. The driver receives the route and booking details in advance, and the vehicle category is selected according to your passenger and luggage requirements. This is particularly valuable for families, business travelers, groups and passengers arriving after long-haul flights.
Pre-booking also helps international visitors who may not speak French or may be unfamiliar with Paris. Instead of comparing options after landing, you can continue directly from the airport to your destination with a professional English-speaking driver.
Local Transportation Specifics at CDG
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is large, and moving between terminals or transport points can take time. Passengers should allow enough time for passport control, baggage claim, terminal navigation and road travel, especially when booking onward connections or early departures.
Traffic between CDG and Paris can vary significantly. Routes into the city may be busy during morning and evening rush hours, on Fridays, around holidays, during public events or when there are roadworks. The exact travel time depends on the terminal, destination address and traffic conditions.
Some central Paris streets have limited access, narrow lanes or restricted stopping areas, especially near historical districts, pedestrian zones and certain hotel entrances. For vans, minibuses and larger vehicles, advance planning is particularly important. In some cases, the driver may use the closest practical pickup or drop-off point.
