Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Private Transfers and Chauffeur Service in Paris
Paris is one of the world’s most visited cities and a major business, cultural and transport hub in France. From luxury hotels near the Champs-Élysées to apartments in Le Marais, business districts such as La Défense, railway stations, airports and regional destinations, getting around Paris can be much easier when your transportation is arranged in advance.
WelcomeTaxi provides private transfers and chauffeur service in Paris for international visitors, business travelers, families, groups and travel professionals. Our service is designed for passengers who prefer a pre-booked vehicle, a clear meeting arrangement and a professional English-speaking driver instead of searching for a taxi on arrival or managing public transport with luggage.
Airport Transfers in Paris
Paris is served by several airports, each with its own role and travel pattern. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is the main international gateway for long-haul and connecting flights. Paris Orly Airport is also an important airport for domestic, European and international routes. Paris Beauvais Airport is used by many low-cost airlines and is located significantly farther from the city. Paris-Le Bourget is mainly associated with business aviation and private flights.
A pre-booked Paris airport transfer is especially useful after a long flight, when you need a direct ride to your hotel, apartment, office or event venue. Your driver meets you according to the booking details and takes you directly to your destination without the need to compare taxi queues, navigate ticket machines or carry luggage through train stations.
Charles de Gaulle Airport Transfers
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is a large and busy airport northeast of central Paris. It has multiple terminals, long walking distances and a complex layout for first-time visitors. A private transfer from CDG to Paris is a practical option if you are arriving with luggage, children, colleagues or after an overnight flight.
Popular routes include CDG to central Paris, CDG to Disneyland Paris, CDG to La Défense, CDG to Versailles and CDG to railway stations such as Gare du Nord, Gare de Lyon and Gare Montparnasse. Long-distance transfers from Charles de Gaulle Airport can also be arranged to other cities and regions in France.
Orly Airport Transfers
Paris Orly Airport is located south of the city and is convenient for many domestic and European flights. A private transfer from Orly to Paris is often the most comfortable option for passengers who want a direct journey to the city without changing between airport transport, metro lines or suburban trains.
Orly airport transfers are suitable for hotel arrivals, business meetings, family trips and onward travel to destinations outside Paris. For early morning departures or late evening arrivals, pre-booking your vehicle helps reduce uncertainty and makes the journey more predictable.
Beauvais Airport Transfers
Paris Beauvais Airport is commonly used for budget flights, but it is much farther from central Paris than CDG or Orly. The journey can be long, especially with traffic or if your destination is not near the standard shuttle drop-off point. For passengers traveling with suitcases, children or a tight schedule, a private transfer from Beauvais to Paris can be a more comfortable and direct solution.
WelcomeTaxi can arrange Beauvais airport transfers to Paris hotels, private addresses, Disneyland Paris, business locations and other regional destinations. This is particularly useful when flight times do not match public transport schedules or when a door-to-door ride is more important than using the cheapest available option.
Chauffeur Service in Paris
Paris is not only a leisure destination but also a major business city. Many travelers need transportation for meetings, conferences, embassies, fashion events, exhibitions, private appointments, restaurant transfers and corporate schedules. Chauffeur service in Paris gives you a dedicated vehicle and driver for a defined period of time, making it easier to move between several locations in one day.
Hourly chauffeur service is useful when your itinerary includes waiting time, multiple stops or flexible timing. Instead of booking several separate rides, you can keep the same vehicle available for your schedule. This can be practical for business travelers, VIP guests, families, production teams and travel agents organizing transport for clients.
Private Transfers Around Paris
Paris has an extensive public transport network, but it is not always the best choice for every journey. The metro can be efficient for short city trips, but it is less convenient with heavy luggage, young children or multiple passengers. Some stations have stairs, transfers between lines can involve long walks, and large crowds are common during peak hours.
Regular taxis and ride-hailing services may work well for simple city trips, but availability, vehicle size and pricing can vary. At airports and railway stations, passengers may also face queues or difficulty finding a vehicle suitable for luggage or a larger group. With a pre-booked private transfer, the vehicle category, pickup time and destination are confirmed in advance.
WelcomeTaxi private transfers in Paris can be used for airport arrivals, hotel-to-hotel transfers, railway station pickups, event transportation, cruise connections, day trips and city-to-city travel. The service is especially helpful when reliability and comfort matter more than finding transportation at the last moment.
Long-Distance Transfers from Paris
Paris is a strong starting point for long-distance transfers across France and neighboring countries. Many travelers continue from Paris to Normandy, Champagne, the Loire Valley, Burgundy, the French Riviera, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland or the Netherlands. For some routes, a private long-distance transfer can be more convenient than combining trains, local taxis and luggage handling.
Popular regional routes include Paris to Disneyland Paris, Paris to Versailles, Paris to Reims, Paris to Rouen, Paris to Deauville, Paris to Chartres, Paris to Giverny and Paris to Fontainebleau. Longer routes can be arranged according to the itinerary, passenger count and luggage requirements.
A long-distance private transfer is a good option when traveling with family, sports equipment, business materials, large luggage or when the final address is not close to a major railway station. It also works well for direct transfers between airports, hotels, countryside properties, conference venues and cruise or river port locations.
Why Pre-Book a Transfer in Paris?
Paris can be busy at almost any time of year. Traffic conditions vary, airports can be crowded, and railway stations are often complicated for visitors unfamiliar with the city. Pre-booking your transfer helps make the first or last part of your journey more predictable.
With WelcomeTaxi, you can arrange transportation before you travel and avoid making decisions immediately after arrival. This is particularly helpful for international passengers who may not speak French, are arriving late, or need a reliable pickup for a business meeting, cruise departure, event or onward connection.
Pre-booked transfers also make it easier to choose the right vehicle category. A standard taxi may not always have enough luggage space for a family or group, while a private van, minivan or executive vehicle can be selected according to your needs. For corporate clients and travel agents, pre-arranged transportation also helps keep itineraries clear and organized.
Useful Travel Information for Paris
Paris traffic can be dense, especially during morning and evening rush hours, around major railway stations, near the périphérique ring road and on routes to and from the airports. Travel time can vary depending on the day, weather, strikes, roadworks, public events and major exhibitions. For airport departures, it is sensible to allow enough time for both the road journey and airport procedures.
Many central Paris streets are narrow, and some hotel entrances or pedestrian areas may have limited vehicle access. In such cases, the driver may use the closest practical pickup or drop-off point. For large groups, vans and minibuses may also require more space for safe stopping, especially near historical areas or busy tourist zones.
Paris is also well connected by rail, with major stations including Gare du Nord, Gare de Lyon, Gare de l’Est, Gare Montparnasse, Gare Saint-Lazare and Gare d’Austerlitz. Private transfers to and from these stations are useful when connecting between airports, hotels and high-speed train services.
