Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Private Transfers in Jerusalem and Central Israel
Jerusalem is one of the world's most historically significant cities and a major destination for religious travel, cultural tourism, business and organised tours. Located in the Judaean Mountains, the city combines ancient districts with modern residential and commercial areas, creating very different transport requirements depending on where you are staying and what you plan to visit.
WelcomeTaxi provides pre-booked private transfers and chauffeur services in Jerusalem for airport journeys, city transportation and longer trips throughout Israel. Services can be arranged for individual travellers, couples, families, business passengers and larger groups, with a range of vehicle classes depending on local availability.
For international visitors, Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) is the principal airport serving Jerusalem. Located between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, it is Israel's main international air gateway and the usual arrival point for overseas travellers visiting the city.
Ben Gurion Airport Transfers to Jerusalem
A pre-booked transfer from Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) to Jerusalem provides direct transportation from the airport to your hotel, apartment, business address or other destination in the city. It removes the need to navigate railway stations, bus connections or local taxi arrangements immediately after a flight.
Rail and bus services provide public transportation between Ben Gurion Airport and Jerusalem, but they do not always offer a direct door-to-door journey. Passengers may still need another taxi, light rail ride or walk to reach their final destination. A private airport transfer is therefore particularly useful for travellers with luggage, young children, mobility requirements or accommodation away from major public transport hubs.
Private transfers can also be booked in the opposite direction, from Jerusalem to Ben Gurion Airport. Advance reservation is useful for early departures, families, business travellers and groups who want transportation arranged before the day of travel.
Chauffeur Service in Jerusalem
Jerusalem is a city where a chauffeur service can be more practical than booking several separate taxi journeys. A private car with driver can be arranged for business schedules, meetings, events, hotel-to-hotel transportation or personalised sightseeing.
Visitors often divide their time between locations in and around the Old City and destinations elsewhere in Jerusalem. Depending on the itinerary, a chauffeur can provide convenient transportation between hotels, museums, religious sites, business districts and meeting points without requiring a new vehicle to be arranged for every journey.
English-speaking drivers are particularly useful for international travellers who prefer straightforward communication about pickup arrangements, routes and schedules. For longer assignments, pre-booking also makes it easier to select a vehicle appropriate for the number of passengers and amount of luggage.
Getting Around Jerusalem
Jerusalem has an extensive public transport network including buses, rail services and light rail. These options work well for many everyday journeys and connect central districts with residential areas, railway stations and major visitor destinations.
However, local transportation in Jerusalem has some important practical differences from many other international cities. Public transport schedules are affected by Shabbat, beginning on Friday afternoon and continuing until Saturday evening, and services can also change around Jewish holidays. Travellers arriving or departing during these periods should plan their transportation carefully.
A private transfer can be especially convenient when travelling directly between places that would otherwise require several connections. It also avoids carrying luggage between stops or trying to identify the correct route immediately after a flight.
Jerusalem to Tel Aviv Private Transfers
Jerusalem and Tel Aviv are two of Israel's principal visitor destinations, and combining them in one trip is common. A private Jerusalem to Tel Aviv transfer offers door-to-door transportation between hotels, residences, offices or other addresses without requiring travel via railway or bus terminals.
This service is suitable for travellers continuing directly from sightseeing in Jerusalem to accommodation in Tel Aviv, travelling to a business meeting or moving between the two cities with luggage. It can also be useful as part of a wider itinerary involving Ben Gurion Airport.
Dead Sea Transfers from Jerusalem
The Dead Sea is another popular destination for visitors staying in Jerusalem. Private transfers can provide direct transportation from Jerusalem to hotels, resorts and visitor areas around the Dead Sea without the limitations of fixed public transport timetables.
Pre-booked transport is particularly suitable for travellers who want to continue to the Dead Sea with luggage, stay overnight outside Jerusalem or arrange transportation as part of a longer itinerary. Depending on local availability, a chauffeur-driven journey can also be arranged for itineraries involving several destinations rather than a simple one-way transfer.
Long-Distance Transfers Across Israel
WelcomeTaxi can arrange long-distance transfers from Jerusalem to destinations beyond the immediate metropolitan area. Typical routes may include Tel Aviv, the Dead Sea region, Haifa and other cities or resorts in Israel.
Long-distance private transportation is useful when travellers value a direct journey over changing trains or buses. The driver collects passengers from the agreed address and takes them directly to their destination, making the service particularly convenient for families, groups and passengers carrying several suitcases.
For longer itineraries, booking in advance also makes it possible to select the appropriate vehicle category rather than depending on whichever taxi happens to be available at departure time.
Private Transfer or Regular Taxi?
Regular taxis remain a practical option for spontaneous short journeys around Jerusalem. For an airport transfer or intercity trip, however, a pre-booked private service provides several advantages.
The pickup location, destination, travel date and vehicle requirements are arranged before the journey. This makes planning easier for airport arrivals, scheduled departures and group travel. Passengers can choose a suitable vehicle class in advance and know that transportation has been arranged specifically for their itinerary.
Pre-booking can also be preferable when arriving during busy travel periods, travelling with children or luggage, or when public transportation operates on a reduced schedule. Instead of organising the journey after landing, passengers can proceed with their previously arranged transfer.
Transportation for Families and Groups
Jerusalem attracts families, pilgrimage groups, organised tours and multi-generational travellers, so passenger capacity can be an important factor when arranging transportation. Depending on local supply, private vehicles may range from sedans to larger vans and minibuses.
For groups, travelling together in one appropriately sized vehicle is often simpler than dividing passengers between several taxis. Advance booking is also important when carrying a larger amount of luggage or when a specific vehicle capacity is required.
Useful Travel Information for Jerusalem
Journey times in Jerusalem can vary according to traffic, the time of day and the exact pickup point. The city's historic layout, busy central roads and large number of visitors can make some journeys slower than their geographical distance suggests. Allowing additional time is particularly sensible for airport departures and appointments with fixed start times.
The Old City contains pedestrian areas and locations where normal vehicle access is restricted or impractical. Some hotels, religious sites and landmarks may therefore require pickup at an accessible nearby road or designated meeting point. Travellers staying in restricted-access locations should provide precise accommodation details when arranging transportation.
Shabbat and holiday schedules are another important consideration when planning travel in Israel. For journeys where timing, luggage handling or direct door-to-door transportation matters, arranging a private transfer in advance can make travel significantly easier.
