Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Airport Transfers and Chauffeur Service in Pattaya
Pattaya is one of Thailand's best-known coastal destinations, located on the Gulf of Thailand in Chonburi Province. The city combines beaches, hotels, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and conference facilities with convenient road connections to Bangkok, Rayong and other destinations across eastern Thailand.
WelcomeTaxi provides pre-booked private transfers and chauffeur service in Pattaya for individual travellers, couples, families, business visitors and groups. Transportation can be arranged between airports, hotels, resorts, private addresses and regional destinations. Booking in advance is particularly useful when arriving on a flight, travelling with substantial luggage or continuing directly to a resort outside central Pattaya.
Pattaya Airport Transfers
Pattaya is served by several airports. U-Tapao Rayong-Pattaya International Airport (UTP) is the closest commercial airport, while Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is the main international gateway for many overseas visitors. Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) is another relevant option, especially for selected domestic and regional flights.
A private airport transfer provides direct transportation from the terminal to a hotel, resort or private address in Pattaya. Cars, vans and larger vehicles can be arranged according to passenger numbers and luggage requirements.
Travellers should always check the airport code carefully, as UTP, BKK and DMK are located in different parts of Thailand and involve significantly different road journeys.
U-Tapao Airport to Pattaya Transfers
U-Tapao Rayong-Pattaya International Airport (UTP) is the nearest airport to Pattaya and serves both Pattaya and the wider Rayong region. It is located southeast of the city and has road connections with Pattaya, Rayong and other eastern coastal destinations.
A private transfer from U-Tapao Airport provides direct door-to-door transportation to hotels and resorts in Pattaya, Jomtien and nearby areas. This can be particularly convenient for families, groups and passengers carrying several pieces of luggage.
UTP also has scheduled minibus services to Pattaya, confirming its role as a direct airport gateway for the city. A private transfer offers greater flexibility over departure time and exact hotel drop-off.
Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya Transfers
Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is Thailand's principal international airport and one of the most common arrival points for travellers heading to Pattaya. It is located east of Bangkok and has direct road links towards Chonburi and Pattaya.
Suvarnabhumi Airport operates direct intercity coach services to Pattaya, making the route a well-established connection for international visitors. A private transfer provides a door-to-door alternative, allowing passengers to travel directly from the airport to their hotel, resort or private address without changing transportation.
This is especially convenient after a long international flight, for families with children or for travellers carrying substantial luggage.
Don Mueang Airport to Pattaya Transfers
Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) is another important Bangkok-area airport and primarily serves domestic and regional flights. Direct express bus services operate between Don Mueang and Pattaya, making DMK a genuine alternative gateway for the city.
A private transfer from DMK provides direct transportation to Pattaya without requiring passengers to travel into central Bangkok first. Because the journey is longer than from U-Tapao, advance booking can be particularly useful when timing and luggage capacity are important.
Getting Around Pattaya
Pattaya has a wide range of local transportation options, including taxis, ride-hailing services, motorcycle taxis and songthaews. The latter operate extensively along major roads and are a common way to travel between different parts of the city.
Private transportation becomes more useful when travelling with luggage, following a fixed schedule or visiting several destinations during the same day. A pre-booked vehicle can also simplify journeys between hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and attractions.
For travellers staying outside central Pattaya, door-to-door service can be particularly convenient.
Chauffeur Service in Pattaya
Hourly chauffeur service is suitable for travellers who need a vehicle for several journeys during the same period. The driver and vehicle can remain available according to the booked schedule for restaurants, shopping, sightseeing, meetings or other appointments.
Leisure travellers may use chauffeur service to combine several attractions around Pattaya and the surrounding region without arranging a separate taxi after every stop. Business visitors can also arrange transportation between hotels, meetings and event venues.
For families and groups, vans and larger vehicles can provide coordinated transportation while keeping passengers together throughout the itinerary.
Transfers to Jomtien
Jomtien lies south of central Pattaya and is one of the area's main beachfront resort districts. It has a large selection of hotels, apartments, restaurants and holiday accommodation.
Private airport transfers can continue directly from U-Tapao, Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang Airport to accommodation in Jomtien without stopping in central Pattaya first. This is particularly convenient for travellers arriving with luggage or staying in large resort developments.
Transfers to Na Kluea and North Pattaya
Na Kluea and North Pattaya contain numerous hotels, resorts, restaurants and residential areas. They are separate from Jomtien and the southern parts of the city, so the exact accommodation address is important when arranging transportation.
Private transfers can connect the airports directly with hotels and residences in these areas, while hourly chauffeur service can provide convenient transportation between different districts during a stay.
Private Transfers Between Pattaya and Bangkok
Bangkok is one of the most common long-distance destinations from Pattaya. The two cities are connected by modern highways and frequent scheduled bus services, but a private transfer provides direct door-to-door transportation.
Passengers can be collected from a Pattaya hotel or resort and taken directly to a Bangkok hotel, private address or transport hub. This can be particularly convenient for families, groups and travellers carrying substantial luggage.
Private transportation can also be arranged directly between Pattaya and Bangkok's airports according to the traveller's itinerary.
Transfers to Rayong and Eastern Thailand
Rayong lies southeast of Pattaya and forms another important tourism, industrial and transport area along Thailand's eastern seaboard. U-Tapao Airport is located between the Pattaya and Rayong regions.
Private transfers can connect Pattaya with Rayong hotels, private addresses and other destinations along the coast. Door-to-door transportation can be particularly useful when the final destination is away from a major bus terminal or public transport route.
Regional and Long-Distance Transfers from Pattaya
Pattaya is well positioned for road journeys throughout Chonburi, Rayong and the wider eastern region. WelcomeTaxi can arrange long-distance transfers according to route and operational availability.
Passengers can be collected from an airport, hotel, resort or private address and taken directly to the final destination in the same vehicle. This can be especially convenient for families and groups who prefer not to combine several transport services.
For itineraries involving multiple stops, hourly or multi-stop chauffeur service may offer greater flexibility than a standard one-way transfer.
Why Pre-Book Instead of Taking a Regular Taxi?
Taxis and other local transport services are widely available in Pattaya and are practical for many short journeys. A pre-booked private transfer is more suitable when transportation begins at an airport, requires a larger vehicle or needs to be confirmed before travel.
Airport passengers can arrange their pickup and destination before arriving in Thailand, while groups can reserve sufficient passenger and luggage capacity. For longer journeys to Bangkok, Rayong or other destinations, the complete route can be organised in advance.
International visitors may also prefer transportation with an English-speaking driver, particularly for airport pickups and longer regional journeys.
Useful Travel Information for Pattaya
Travellers should check carefully which airport appears on their ticket. U-Tapao (UTP) is the closest airport to Pattaya, Suvarnabhumi (BKK) is the principal international gateway used by many visitors, and Don Mueang (DMK) is another relevant Bangkok-area airport.
Official airport transport information confirms direct services between Pattaya and all three airports: U-Tapao has minibus links, Suvarnabhumi has intercity coach services, and Don Mueang operates direct express buses to Pattaya.
Pattaya itself extends across several distinct areas including central Pattaya, Jomtien and Na Kluea. When booking transportation, provide accurate flight information, passenger numbers, luggage requirements and the complete hotel or resort address so that an appropriate vehicle can be arranged.
Book a Private Transfer in Pattaya
WelcomeTaxi offers pre-booked transportation for U-Tapao, Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang Airport arrivals, hotel and resort transfers, chauffeur hire and long-distance journeys. Whether you need a direct airport transfer, a vehicle for several hours in Pattaya or transportation to Bangkok, Rayong or another destination in eastern Thailand, your journey can be arranged in advance with a suitable vehicle and professional driver.
