Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book a ride?

We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.

What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?

If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.

If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.

How do I know if my order has been accepted?

After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.

If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.

How do I change my booking?

To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.

Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.

How can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your booking in two ways:

  1. Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
  2. By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?

If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.

If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.

Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.

How will I find my driver?

For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).

Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.

For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.

How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?

WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.

Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.

I can’t find my driver. What should I do?

If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.

Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.

If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.

Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Airport Transfers and Chauffeur Service from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Bangkok

Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is the main international airport serving Bangkok, Thailand. Located east of the city, it handles a large share of long-haul, regional, and domestic flights, making it the primary arrival point for many visitors travelling to the Thai capital. Whether you are arriving for a holiday, a business trip, a family journey, or a longer itinerary around Thailand, arranging reliable transportation from BKK in advance can make the first part of your trip much easier.

Bangkok is a large, busy, and traffic-sensitive city. Distances on the map can look manageable, but actual travel time depends heavily on the time of day, weather, road conditions, toll roads, and the exact district of your hotel or apartment. Popular areas such as Sukhumvit, Silom, Sathorn, Siam, Pratunam, Riverside, Khao San Road, Thonglor, and Chatuchak can all require different routes from the airport. A pre-booked private airport transfer helps avoid uncertainty after a long flight and gives you a clear, comfortable way to reach your destination.

Transportation Options from Suvarnabhumi Airport

Travellers arriving at BKK have several transportation options. The Airport Rail Link is often a practical choice for solo travellers with light luggage, especially when heading toward Phaya Thai, Makkasan, or areas connected to the BTS Skytrain or MRT network. It can be faster than road transport during peak traffic hours, but it is less convenient with large suitcases, children, late-night arrivals, or hotels that are not close to a train station.

Regular metered taxis are available at the airport and are commonly used for trips into Bangkok. They can be a reasonable option for flexible travellers, but the experience may vary depending on queues, communication, luggage space, route choice, tolls, and traffic. Some passengers also prefer not to negotiate details after arrival, especially when travelling with family, arriving late, or visiting Thailand for the first time.

Public buses and shared transport options exist, but they are usually less convenient for international travellers with luggage. They may involve longer travel times, transfers, limited comfort, and routes that do not go directly to hotels. Ride-hailing services may also be available, but pickup points, vehicle availability, and waiting times can vary depending on airport rules and demand.

Why Book a Private Transfer from BKK

A private transfer from Suvarnabhumi Airport is designed to be simple and predictable. Your vehicle is booked before arrival, the route is known in advance, and the driver meets you according to the agreed pickup details. This is especially useful in Bangkok, where traffic can be intense and where arrival procedures may take time during busy periods.

With WelcomeTaxi, travellers can book private transfers from BKK to hotels, serviced apartments, private residences, business addresses, conference venues, hospitals, embassies, cruise piers, and regional destinations. The service is suitable for individuals, couples, families, corporate guests, VIP travellers, and small groups. Depending on passenger and luggage needs, the vehicle may range from a sedan to a van, minibus, or other appropriate class.

Pre-booked airport transfers are often more comfortable than trying to arrange transport after landing. There is no need to search for the correct taxi queue, explain the destination repeatedly, compare last-minute options, or worry about whether the vehicle has enough luggage space. For passengers arriving after an overnight flight, this convenience can be especially valuable.

Chauffeur Service in Bangkok

Bangkok is not only an airport transfer destination but also a city where chauffeur service can be useful throughout the stay. A private car with driver can be arranged for business meetings, hotel-to-restaurant transfers, shopping trips, events, embassy visits, medical appointments, or flexible city travel. This type of service is particularly helpful when several stops are planned in different districts.

For business travellers, a chauffeur service can save time and reduce stress between meetings in areas such as Sathorn, Silom, Sukhumvit, Wireless Road, Ratchadaphisek, and central Bangkok. For leisure travellers, it can provide a more comfortable way to move between hotels, temples, shopping malls, river piers, and evening venues without repeatedly arranging taxis or ride-hailing cars.

English-speaking drivers are especially useful for international visitors who prefer clear communication about pickup points, timing, luggage, stops, and route details. While not every driver is a professional guide, having a driver who can communicate in English makes the journey smoother and more reassuring.

Long-Distance Transfers from Suvarnabhumi Airport

Suvarnabhumi Airport is also a practical starting point for long-distance private transfers across central and eastern Thailand. Many travellers continue directly from BKK to beach resorts, golf destinations, industrial areas, historical sites, or private villas outside Bangkok. A pre-booked long-distance transfer can be more convenient than connecting through the city or arranging separate local transport.

Popular regional routes from Suvarnabhumi Airport include transfers to Pattaya, Jomtien, Chonburi, Rayong, Hua Hin, Cha-am, Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, and other destinations. For travellers with heavy luggage, children, sports equipment, or late arrivals, a direct door-to-door transfer is often easier than combining train, bus, taxi, and hotel transport.

Long-distance transfers are also useful for multi-city itineraries in Thailand. Instead of returning to central Bangkok after landing, passengers can travel directly to their resort or regional hotel. This saves time and avoids unnecessary overnight stays, especially when the final destination is outside the capital.

Transfers Between Bangkok Airports

Bangkok is served by two major airports: Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK). Don Mueang is widely used for domestic and regional low-cost flights, while Suvarnabhumi is the main international gateway. Some travellers arrive at BKK and later depart from DMK, or the other way around.

An inter-airport transfer between BKK and DMK should be planned carefully. The distance is not the only factor; Bangkok traffic can make the journey significantly longer at certain times of day. A private airport-to-airport transfer provides a direct route, private luggage space, and a clearer schedule than relying on public transport connections, especially when travelling with checked bags or a tight connection.

Local Travel Specifics at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport

When planning a transfer from BKK, it is important to consider arrival time and traffic conditions. Morning and evening rush hours can affect journeys to central Bangkok, while Friday evenings, public holidays, heavy rain, and major events may also increase travel time. Toll roads are commonly used on airport routes because they can reduce delays, although traffic can still be unpredictable.

Hotel locations in Bangkok also matter. A transfer to Sukhumvit may follow a different route than a transfer to the Riverside, Old Town, Sathorn, or northern Bangkok. Some hotels are located on narrow streets or inside large complexes, where exact pickup and drop-off details can save time. Providing the hotel name, address, flight number, passenger contact, and luggage information helps ensure a smoother service.

For departures from Bangkok to Suvarnabhumi Airport, it is usually wise to allow extra time, especially for international flights. Bangkok traffic can change quickly, and airport formalities may take longer during busy travel periods. A pre-booked transfer allows the pickup time to be planned with a realistic buffer based on the route and flight schedule.

WelcomeTaxi Private Transfers from BKK

WelcomeTaxi provides international private transfer and chauffeur service for travellers arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The service is designed for passengers who value comfort, reliability, and clear planning before they land. Instead of dealing with transport decisions at the airport, you can arrange your ride in advance and continue directly to your hotel, meeting, residence, or regional destination.

Private transfers from BKK are suitable for airport arrivals, departures, inter-airport connections, business travel, family holidays, group transportation, and long-distance journeys around Thailand. With door-to-door service, appropriate vehicle selection, and English-speaking driver options, WelcomeTaxi offers a convenient alternative to regular taxis and public transport in one of Southeast Asia’s busiest cities.
