Airport transfers in Kyiv

If you need to get from Kyiv to one of its two international airports, you can consider different options.

To reach Boryspil International Airport (KBP) located in 29 km to the east from Kyiv, you can use Kyiv Boryspil Express: trains depart from Main Railway Station nearly every hour. Another option may be Sky Bus which runs from the South terminal of the Main Railway Station every 30-60 minutes at the day time and every 60-90 minutes in the night.

Unlike the above mentioned main Ukrainian airport, Kyiv International Airport (IEV) is more accessible by public transport, since it is located inside of Zhuliany district of Kyiv, only 7 km away from the city center. To reach this airport, you can take numerous minibuses, buses or trolleybuses at subway stations Shuliavska, Dorohozhychi, Petrivka, Kontraktova Square, Lukyanivska, Vasyl'kivs'ka, Teremki or Syrets, as well as from Main Railway Station. Public transport runs from 06:30 till 22:30.

If you are not familiar with Kyiv urban transportation system and if you are not very enthusiastic about exploring it, then taxi may be more appropriate option for you to get from Kyiv to Boryspil International Airport or Kyiv International Airport. You can order taxi by phone calling one of the local cab companies. However, prepare yourself to speak at least some Ukrainian or Russian, since you will hardly find any English-speaking taxi phone operators here. Or you can use Uber, Bolt, Uklon or any other ridesharing app. However, take in consideration that in most cases you will not be able to book your ride in advance but only ASAP and not always the estimated time of arrival will be suitable if you are in a hurry. Another issue you should seriously approach is your safety: Internet is full by customer complaints on low quality level and on numerous traffic accidents involving cars from these cheap Uber-like ridesharing services.
