Rome Ciampino International Airport "G. B. Pastine" (CIA) is a secondary international airport in Rome, the capital of Italy, second only to Rome-Fiumicino Airport "Leonardo da Vinci". It is a combined civil, commercial and military airport located 12.0 km (7.5 mi) southeast of central Rome, just off the Grande Raccordo Anulare or GRA, the ring road that surrounds the city.
The airport is a major hub for many low-cost airlines and general aviation. In 2020, it served 1,621,159 passengers.
It also houses a military airfield and the headquarters of 31º Stormo and 2nd Reparto Genio of the Italian Air Force. The airport is named after Giovan Battista Pastine, an Italian airship pilot who served in World War I.
