Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Airport Transfers and Chauffeur Service from Haneda Airport to Tokyo
Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND), officially known as Tokyo International Airport, is one of the main airports serving Tokyo and the wider Greater Tokyo Area. Located in Ōta, Tokyo, close to Tokyo Bay, Haneda is much nearer to central Tokyo than Narita International Airport. This makes it a convenient arrival point for travelers heading to areas such as Ginza, Tokyo Station, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Roppongi, Akasaka, Shinagawa, Marunouchi, Ueno, Asakusa, Odaiba, and Yokohama.
Haneda Airport handles a major mix of domestic and international flights. It is especially important for business travel within Japan, domestic connections, and international arrivals that require quick access to the city. Because the airport is located within Tokyo itself, travel times to central districts can be much shorter than from Narita, although traffic and exact destination still matter.
WelcomeTaxi provides pre-booked private airport transfers from Haneda Airport to Tokyo and other destinations in the region. The service is designed for international travelers who prefer a reserved vehicle, professional driver, clear arrangements, and direct door-to-door transportation after arrival.
Transportation Options from Haneda Airport
Haneda Airport is well connected to Tokyo by rail, monorail, airport buses, taxis, and private transfers. The airport has direct access to the Keikyu Line and the Tokyo Monorail, and express buses also connect the airport with many city districts and hotels. These options can be convenient, but the best choice depends on your destination, luggage, arrival time, group size, and comfort expectations.
Tokyo Monorail from Haneda Airport
The Tokyo Monorail is one of the most recognizable public transport options from Haneda Airport. It connects the airport terminals with Hamamatsuchō, where passengers can transfer to the JR Yamanote Line and other rail services. This can be a fast and efficient choice for travelers who are comfortable using Tokyo’s train system and staying near a convenient rail connection.
However, the monorail may not be ideal for every arrival. Passengers often need to transfer at Hamamatsuchō, continue by train or taxi, and navigate station exits with luggage. For families, senior travelers, business guests with tight schedules, or passengers arriving after a long flight, a direct private transfer can be a more comfortable alternative.
Keikyu Line from Haneda Airport
The Keikyu Airport Line connects Haneda Airport with Shinagawa and other important transport points. Shinagawa is a major railway hub with access to JR lines and the Tokaido Shinkansen, making Keikyu useful for travelers heading to central Tokyo or connecting to other parts of Japan.
Like the monorail, the train is efficient but not always door-to-door. If your hotel, apartment, or office is not close to a station, you may need another taxi or a long walk after the train journey. Tokyo stations can be large and busy, and changing lines with heavy luggage may be inconvenient for visitors unfamiliar with the city.
Airport Bus from Haneda Airport
Airport buses connect Haneda Airport with many hotels, railway terminals, business districts, and regional destinations. They can be a practical option if your destination is directly served by the bus route. Buses also reduce the need to move luggage through train stations.
The main limitation is that airport buses operate on fixed routes and schedules. They may not stop close to every hotel or private address, and travel time can vary depending on road traffic. Late-night or early-morning schedules may also require careful checking before travel.
Regular Taxi from Haneda Airport
Regular taxis are available at Haneda Airport and can be a convenient solution for some passengers, especially because the airport is close to central Tokyo. A taxi may work well for a simple journey to a well-known hotel or station area.
Still, a regular taxi may not be the best option for all travelers. Vehicle size can be limited, fares may vary with traffic, and English communication may not always be easy. For groups, families, travelers with several suitcases, or passengers who want a larger vehicle arranged in advance, a pre-booked private airport transfer is often more practical.
Private Transfer from Haneda Airport
A private transfer from Haneda Airport gives passengers a direct journey from the terminal to their final address. The vehicle is booked in advance according to the number of passengers and luggage, and the route is arranged before arrival. This avoids the need to compare train routes, wait in taxi lines, or manage luggage through busy stations.
Private transfers are especially useful for international visitors, corporate travelers, families, groups, cruise passengers, and travelers arriving late at night or early in the morning. With a professional driver and a reserved vehicle, the journey from HND to Tokyo can be smoother and more predictable.
WelcomeTaxi Private Transfers from HND
WelcomeTaxi offers international private transfer and chauffeur service from Tokyo Haneda Airport. The service can be arranged for airport arrivals, airport departures, city transfers, airport-to-airport connections, hourly hire, and long-distance transfers from Tokyo to other destinations.
For arrivals, a pre-booked transfer helps make the first part of the journey easier. After immigration, baggage claim, and customs, passengers can continue directly to their vehicle and travel to the hotel, residence, office, event venue, cruise terminal, or railway station. For departures, the driver collects passengers from the requested address and takes them to the correct Haneda terminal.
Vehicle options may include sedans, SUVs, vans, and minibuses depending on route availability, passenger count, and luggage requirements. This makes the service suitable for solo travelers, couples, families, business guests, VIP passengers, and larger groups.
Chauffeur Service in Tokyo
WelcomeTaxi can also arrange chauffeur service in Tokyo for travelers who need a private vehicle and driver for several hours. This can be useful for business meetings, conferences, shopping, sightseeing, restaurant transfers, embassy visits, hotel changes, and multi-stop itineraries.
Tokyo is a large and highly structured city, but travel across different districts can take time. A chauffeur service is convenient when you need to move between areas such as Marunouchi, Ginza, Nihonbashi, Akasaka, Roppongi, Aoyama, Omotesando, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ueno, Asakusa, Odaiba, and Shinagawa without arranging a new taxi for every leg of the journey.
For business travelers, a chauffeur-driven vehicle offers a quiet and organized way to move between meetings. For leisure travelers, it can make sightseeing more comfortable, especially when visiting several districts in one day. For families and groups, it reduces the stress of coordinating multiple taxis or navigating public transport with luggage and children.
Transfers between Haneda Airport and Narita Airport
Tokyo is served by two major airports: Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) and Narita International Airport (NRT). Haneda is closer to central Tokyo, while Narita is located farther east in Chiba Prefecture. Many travelers need to transfer between HND and NRT when connecting between domestic and international flights or between different airlines.
Public transport between Haneda and Narita is available by train and airport bus, but the journey can be long and requires careful planning. A private airport-to-airport transfer is a convenient alternative for passengers with luggage, families with children, senior travelers, business guests, and anyone who prefers a direct ride between terminals.
Because the two airports are far apart, it is important to allow enough connection time. Traffic conditions, terminal procedures, baggage claim, and check-in deadlines should all be considered. A pre-booked transfer can make the ground journey easier, but it should always be planned with a comfortable time buffer.
Long-Distance Transfers from Haneda Airport
Haneda Airport is an excellent starting point not only for Tokyo but also for regional travel across the wider Kanto area. Private long-distance transfers can be arranged from HND to destinations such as Yokohama, Kawasaki, Chiba, Makuhari, Maihama and Tokyo Disney Resort, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji Five Lakes, Nikko, Tsukuba, and other locations depending on availability.
For travelers continuing directly outside Tokyo, a private transfer can be much easier than combining airport trains, local rail services, buses, and taxis. This is especially true for groups, families, passengers with sports equipment, travelers with multiple suitcases, or visitors heading to hotels and resorts away from major stations.
Long-distance transfers are also useful for corporate travel, events, conferences, cruise connections, and private itineraries. A reserved vehicle
