Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Airport Transfers and Chauffeur Service from Zadar Airport
Zadar Airport (ZAD) is the main airport serving Zadar and the surrounding region of northern Dalmatia in Croatia. Located approximately 8 kilometres from the city, the airport provides convenient access to Zadar's historic centre, Adriatic resorts, islands, marinas and coastal destinations throughout the region.
WelcomeTaxi provides pre-booked private airport transfers from ZAD for individual travellers, couples, families and groups. Transportation can be arranged in advance to hotels, apartments, villas, marinas and private addresses in Zadar as well as destinations farther along the Croatian coast.
English-speaking drivers can be requested, while different vehicle categories allow passengers to select transportation suitable for their group size and luggage requirements.
Getting from Zadar Airport to the City
Zadar Airport is located a short distance southeast of the city, making the journey into central Zadar relatively straightforward. Passengers can choose between private transfers, taxis, airport buses and rental cars.
The airport operates a public bus connection with central Zadar, which can be a practical and economical option for travellers with limited luggage. A private transfer provides a more direct alternative, taking passengers from the airport to the exact hotel, apartment or other destination without additional connections.
Private Airport Transfer
A pre-booked private transfer provides door-to-door transportation from Zadar Airport to your accommodation. The vehicle, passenger count and destination are arranged before arrival, so there is no need to organize transport after collecting your luggage.
This can be particularly useful for families, groups and passengers staying outside central Zadar. Larger vans can be arranged for travellers carrying additional luggage or travelling together in larger parties.
Private transfers are also ideal for passengers continuing directly from the airport to another town, resort or marina in Dalmatia.
Airport Bus
A public bus service connects Zadar Airport with the city centre. It can be a convenient option for solo travellers and passengers staying near the main bus stops.
Travellers whose accommodation is outside the centre may need to continue by taxi, local bus or on foot. A private transfer avoids these additional connections and provides direct transportation to the final address.
Taxis from Zadar Airport
Taxi services are available at the airport and can be used for journeys into Zadar and nearby destinations. They may suit passengers who prefer to arrange transportation after arrival.
For longer journeys or larger groups, pre-booking offers the advantage of confirming the required vehicle and destination in advance.
Rental Cars
Rental cars are widely available at Zadar Airport and can be useful for travellers planning an independent road trip around Croatia. Northern Dalmatia offers numerous coastal towns, islands and national parks that are convenient to explore by road.
Travellers who prefer not to drive can instead use private point-to-point transfers or chauffeur service for their regional itinerary.
Transfers from ZAD to Zadar Hotels
Zadar is known for its historic Old Town, Roman and Venetian heritage, waterfront promenade and attractions such as the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun. Accommodation ranges from city-centre hotels and apartments to resorts and villas in surrounding coastal areas.
A private airport transfer can take passengers directly to their accommodation without the need to navigate local transport with luggage. This is particularly useful when staying outside the compact historic centre or arriving late in the evening.
When booking accommodation within the pedestrian parts of Zadar's Old Town, passengers should provide the exact property details so the most practical vehicle access point can be used.
Chauffeur Service in Zadar
WelcomeTaxi also provides chauffeur service for travellers who need transportation for several hours or multiple stops. This can be useful for sightseeing, business travel, visits to wineries, marina transfers or private excursions around northern Dalmatia.
A chauffeur can provide transportation between hotels, restaurants, coastal towns, attractions and other destinations according to a planned itinerary. English-speaking drivers can be requested for international visitors.
Hourly chauffeur service also makes it possible to explore several locations without arranging a separate taxi for every journey.
Private Transfers to Nin
Nin is a historic coastal town located north of Zadar and is one of the closest popular destinations to the city. It is known for its old town, shallow beaches and holiday accommodation.
A private transfer from Zadar Airport to Nin provides direct transportation to hotels, apartments and villas without travelling into central Zadar first.
This can be particularly convenient for families staying at coastal resorts and holiday parks in the surrounding area.
Zadar Airport to Biograd na Moru
Biograd na Moru is a popular resort town approximately 30 kilometres from Zadar Airport. It is known for its beaches, marina and convenient position for sailing holidays and excursions to nearby islands.
A pre-booked transfer from ZAD provides direct transportation from the airport to hotels, apartments or the marina. This is especially useful for passengers arriving with sailing equipment or substantial luggage.
Transfers to Pag Island
Pag is one of the best-known islands in northern Dalmatia and is connected with the mainland by road. The island attracts visitors for its beaches, distinctive landscape, traditional cheese and popular resort areas.
Private transfers can be arranged from Zadar Airport to destinations on Pag Island, including hotels, apartments and private villas. Travelling directly by road removes the need to coordinate several local transport services after arrival.
Zadar Airport to Šibenik
Šibenik lies southeast of Zadar and is another important historic city on the Croatian coast. Its old town, waterfront and nearby resorts make it a popular destination for international visitors.
A private transfer from ZAD to Šibenik provides direct door-to-door transportation and can be particularly convenient for travellers carrying luggage or staying outside the city centre.
Transfers can also be arranged to resorts and marinas around the wider Šibenik area.
Long-Distance Transfers from Zadar Airport
Zadar's central position on the Croatian Adriatic coast makes the airport a practical starting point for longer journeys through Dalmatia and beyond. WelcomeTaxi can arrange private transfers to Split, coastal resorts and other regional destinations.
Long-distance transportation is particularly useful for passengers whose accommodation is not conveniently connected to Zadar by direct public transport. A private vehicle provides continuous door-to-door travel without the need to carry luggage between buses or railway stations.
For families and groups, travelling together in one vehicle can also make regional transfers easier to coordinate.
Zadar Airport to Split
Split is one of the largest cities on the Croatian Adriatic and lies approximately 158 kilometres from Zadar Airport. It is an important tourism centre, ferry port and gateway to central and southern Dalmatia.
A private transfer from ZAD to Split can be useful for travellers whose flight arrives in Zadar but whose accommodation or cruise departure is in Split. Direct transportation avoids the need to travel first into Zadar city and arrange an onward bus connection.
Transfers can be booked to hotels, apartments, Split ferry port and private addresses throughout the city.
Transfers to Marinas and Sailing Destinations
The Zadar region is one of Croatia's major sailing areas, with numerous marinas and charter bases along the coast. Travellers arriving for sailing holidays may need transportation directly from the airport to a marina rather than to a hotel.
Private transfers can be arranged to marinas in Zadar, Biograd na Moru and other coastal locations. Larger vehicles may be useful for groups travelling with sailing equipment and multiple bags.
Exploring Northern Dalmatia
Northern Dalmatia combines historic coastal towns, islands, beaches and national parks within relatively short driving distances. Zadar is therefore a convenient base for travellers exploring the wider region.
Chauffeur service can be arranged for private day trips and multi-stop itineraries, allowing passengers to visit several destinations while keeping the same vehicle and driver.
Popular regional excursions may include coastal towns, viewpoints, national parks and local food and wine destinations.
Zadar Airport and Split Airport
Zadar Airport (ZAD) and Split Airport (SPU) are two important aviation gateways serving Dalmatia. Zadar Airport is better positioned for northern Dalmatia, while Split Airport serves Split, Trogir and much of the central Dalmatian coast.
Travellers planning one-way road trips along the Croatian coastline may arrive through one airport and depart through the other. A private transfer can be arranged between Zadar and the Split region when required.
Passengers should always check the airport code shown on their flight booking, particularly when arranging transportation for multi-city itineraries.
Why Pre-Book a Transfer from Zadar Airport?
Zadar Airport is close to the city and public transport is available, but a private transfer provides the convenience of travelling directly to the final address. This becomes particularly valuable when the destination is outside central Zadar.
The vehicle can be selected in advance according to the number of passengers and luggage requirements. This is useful for families, groups, sailing parties and travellers carrying oversized baggage.
Pre-booked transfers are also convenient for journeys to coastal resorts, islands connected by road, marinas and other regional destinations where spontaneous airport transport may be less predictable.
English-Speaking Drivers in Zadar
English-speaking drivers can be requested for WelcomeTaxi airport transfers and chauffeur services in Zadar. This can make communication easier for international travellers when confirming accommodation, marina locations or regional itineraries.
An English-speaking chauffeur can also be useful for private excursions involving several destinations during the same day.
Useful Travel Information
When booking a transfer from Zadar Airport, provide accurate flight details, passenger numbers and luggage requirements. Travellers carrying sailing equipment, bicycles or oversized baggage should select a vehicle with sufficient capacity.
Traffic along the Croatian coast can increase significantly during the summer holiday season, particularly on weekends and major travel days. Additional journey time should therefore be allowed for longer transfers to destinations such as Šibenik or Split.
Some historic centres and island settlements have restricted vehicle access. In these cases, passengers may be dropped at the nearest practical access point to their accommodation.
Whether you are travelling from ZAD to central Zadar, heading to Nin, Biograd na Moru or Pag, continuing to Šibenik or Split, or arranging chauffeur service for a regional itinerary, WelcomeTaxi provides pre-booked private transportation designed around your journey.
