Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Airport Transfers and Chauffeur Service from Amman Civil Airport
Amman Civil Airport / Marka International Airport (ADJ) is a secondary airport in Amman, Jordan. Located in the Marka area, close to the city, it has a different role from Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), which is the main international airport for Amman and most scheduled long-haul arrivals. ADJ is especially relevant for private aviation, regional flights, charter operations, aviation services and travelers who need quick access to central and eastern parts of the capital.
For passengers arriving at Amman Civil Airport, a pre-booked private transfer is often the most practical way to continue the journey. The airport is close to the city, but Amman is spread across many districts and hills, and travel time depends heavily on the exact destination and traffic conditions. A private airport transfer helps avoid uncertainty after landing and provides a direct connection to your hotel, office, residence or next destination in Jordan.
WelcomeTaxi offers private transfers and chauffeur service from Amman Civil Airport with professional drivers, comfortable vehicles and advance booking. The service is suitable for business travelers, private aviation passengers, families, diplomatic visitors, event guests and anyone who prefers a more organized alternative to arranging transport on arrival.
Transportation Options from Amman Civil Airport
Transportation options from ADJ are more limited than at Queen Alia International Airport. Because it is not the main airport for Amman’s international passenger traffic, travelers should not expect the same level of airport transport infrastructure, taxi volume or public transport convenience as at AMM.
Airport Taxi and Local Taxi
Local taxis may be available in the area, and they can be useful for short city trips when the destination is simple and the passenger is comfortable arranging transport locally. However, for international travelers, private aviation passengers or visitors with luggage, relying on an available taxi may not be ideal. Vehicle size, English communication, payment expectations and route clarity can vary.
A pre-booked private transfer is usually a better option when the passenger needs a reliable pickup, a larger vehicle, an English-speaking driver, or a direct transfer to a hotel, embassy, business meeting or private address.
Ride-Hailing and City Transport
Ride-hailing services may operate in Amman, but availability can depend on time of day, traffic and pickup location. For travelers arriving after a flight, especially with luggage or on a tight schedule, arranging a car only after arrival can create unnecessary waiting time.
Public transport is not usually the most convenient choice for passengers arriving at Amman Civil Airport with suitcases, business equipment or a fixed appointment. Most visitors will still need a car for the final part of the journey.
Pre-Booked Private Transfer
A pre-booked private transfer from Amman Civil Airport is designed to make arrival simple. The pickup is arranged in advance, the destination is known before the trip, and the vehicle can be selected according to passenger and luggage needs. This is especially useful for travelers arriving by private jet, charter flight or regional service, where timing and discretion may be important.
Instead of negotiating or searching for transport after landing, passengers can continue directly to their hotel, residence, meeting venue or resort. For business and VIP travel, this creates a more professional and predictable arrival experience.
Private Transfers from ADJ to Amman Districts
Amman Civil Airport is well positioned for transfers to many parts of the city. Depending on traffic and the exact route, it can be convenient for central Amman, Jabal Amman, Abdali, Shmeisani, Sweifieh, Abdoun, embassy areas, business districts and residential neighborhoods.
Amman can be challenging for first-time visitors because districts are spread across hills and major roads, while hotel names and private addresses may not always be immediately obvious. A pre-booked transfer helps reduce confusion by giving the driver the destination details in advance.
For hotel guests, this is useful when arriving at international hotels, boutique properties, serviced apartments or private villas. For corporate and diplomatic travelers, it is useful when traveling to embassies, offices, conference venues, clinics or government-related locations.
Chauffeur Service in Amman
WelcomeTaxi also provides chauffeur service in Amman for travelers who need more than a simple airport pickup. Chauffeur service can be arranged for meetings, conferences, diplomatic visits, medical appointments, shopping, restaurants, events or flexible city travel with multiple stops.
Hourly chauffeur service is useful when the schedule is not limited to one transfer. Instead of booking separate rides between locations, travelers can keep the same vehicle and driver for a planned period. This is especially convenient in Amman, where traffic and parking can make multiple independent rides less efficient.
English-speaking drivers can make the experience easier for international visitors. They help with basic communication related to pickup, drop-off, timing and route coordination. This is not a replacement for a licensed tour guide, but it makes private transportation in Jordan more comfortable and practical.
Long-Distance Transfers from Amman Civil Airport
Although ADJ is located close to Amman, travelers may use it as a starting point for longer journeys across Jordan. WelcomeTaxi can arrange long-distance private transfers from Amman to the Dead Sea, Petra, Wadi Musa, Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Jerash, Madaba and other destinations.
Long-distance transfers are particularly useful for visitors who want to continue directly from the airport to a resort, historical site, desert camp or another city. Public transport in Jordan is not always convenient for travelers with luggage, fixed hotel check-in times or a detailed itinerary. A private transfer provides a direct route without changing vehicles or organizing transport in the city first.
Popular routes from Amman include transfers to the Dead Sea resorts, Petra and Wadi Musa, Jerash, Madaba, Mount Nebo, Wadi Rum and Aqaba. For multi-stop travel, chauffeur service or a custom itinerary can be more suitable than a standard point-to-point ride.
ADJ and Queen Alia International Airport
For most international passengers traveling to Amman, Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) is the main airport. It is the primary gateway for scheduled international flights and the airport most travelers will use when arriving in Jordan by commercial airline.
Amman Civil Airport / Marka International Airport (ADJ) has a more specialized role. It is closer to the city and is associated with private aviation, regional operations and selected aviation services. For this reason, passengers should always check the airport code carefully before booking transport. AMM and ADJ are different airports, located in different parts of the Amman area.
WelcomeTaxi can support transfers from both airports. If your flight arrives at ADJ, the transfer should be booked specifically from Amman Civil Airport / Marka International Airport, not from Queen Alia International Airport.
Why Pre-Book a Transfer from Amman Civil Airport?
Pre-booking a transfer from ADJ is especially useful because the airport is smaller and less standardized for regular passenger transport than AMM. With a private transfer, the vehicle, pickup details and destination are arranged before arrival. This reduces waiting time and avoids the need to find suitable transport on the spot.
For private aviation passengers, this also creates a smoother ground transportation experience. For business travelers, it supports punctuality and a more professional arrival. For families and groups, it helps ensure that the booked vehicle has enough room for passengers and luggage.
Whether you are traveling from Amman Civil Airport to a hotel in the city, continuing to a meeting, or planning a long-distance transfer across Jordan, WelcomeTaxi offers a practical and comfortable private transport solution with professional English-speaking drivers.
