Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book a ride?
We recommend booking your transfer or hourly hire service at least 72 hours in advance. If you don’t have that much time, you can request an urgent transfer — we’ll let you know as soon as possible whether we can confirm it.
What pick-up time should I specify for the transfer?
If your transfer starts from an airport or railway station, please specify your flight or train arrival time as the start of your transfer. This helps the driver organize the meeting more accurately.
If your transfer starts from a hotel to an airport, please indicate the time you wish to be picked up at reception. You’ll need to calculate it yourself, allowing extra time for check-in. We recommend adding about 3 hours before your flight’s departure. For example, if your flight leaves at 14:00 and the trip takes 1 hour, your pick-up time should be 10:00.
How do I know if my order has been accepted?
After submitting your booking, you’ll receive an email with all trip details and your order status as “Waiting”. Once we receive and confirm your payment, the status will change to “Accepted”, and you’ll receive another email confirmation.
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
How do I change my booking?
To make changes to your booking, please contact our support team at office@welcome.taxi.
Important note: Requests for changes made less than 72 hours before your trip may be declined.
How can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking in two ways:
- Via the booking page on our website — use the cancellation number provided in your booking voucher, at least 72 hours before the trip.
- By contacting our support team if it’s less than 72 hours before your ride.
Important note: In case of urgent cancellation, we may not be able to refund your deposit. The free cancellation period is stated in your confirmation email.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed by less than 30 minutes, the driver will adjust their arrival time automatically.
If the delay is longer, please inform the driver directly (their phone number is in your confirmation voucher) or contact WelcomeTaxi Customer Support at office@welcome.taxi. Please include your order number and the new arrival time.
Important note: The driver may charge an additional fee for extended waiting time.
How will I find my driver?
For airport transfers, if you’ve added the meet-and-greet option to your order, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area — right after passport control and baggage claim. You’ll see a name sign with your first and last names (or custom text, if specified in your booking).
Important note: We strongly recommend adding the meet-and-greet option to your airport transfer booking.
For hotel pickups, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby. Detailed meeting instructions and your driver’s contact number are provided in your booking confirmation voucher.
How can I be sure that my driver will pick me up?
WelcomeTaxi guarantees that your driver will do their best to meet you on time.
Both you and the driver will have each other’s phone or WhatsApp number. Please keep your mobile phone switched on at the time of pickup. If you can’t reach the driver, contact our support team immediately.
I can’t find my driver. What should I do?
If you can’t find your driver, please double-check the name signs again — the driver may have missed you in the crowd.
Try calling or messaging the driver via WhatsApp. If there’s no response within the meeting time, contact our support team.
If necessary, go to the airport’s Information Desk to arrange a local taxi to your destination.
Important note: If the driver fails to meet you, we will refund your payment.

Airport Transfers and Chauffeur Service from Queen Alia International Airport to Amman
Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) is the main international gateway to Amman and the busiest airport in Jordan. Located south of the capital, it handles most international arrivals to the country and is the usual starting point for visitors traveling to Amman, the Dead Sea, Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba and other destinations across Jordan.
For many travelers, the first transfer after landing is an important part of the journey. Amman is a large, busy and hilly city, and the road from the airport leads into different districts depending on whether you are staying near the old downtown, Abdoun, Sweifieh, Shmeisani, the Boulevard, the diplomatic area, a business hotel, or a private residence. A pre-booked private airport transfer helps avoid uncertainty on arrival and gives you a fixed, organized way to reach your destination.
WelcomeTaxi provides private transfers from Queen Alia International Airport with professional drivers, comfortable vehicles and door-to-door service. The service is suitable for business travelers, families, tourists, diplomatic visitors, event guests and passengers who prefer a reliable alternative to looking for transport after a long flight.
Transportation Options from Queen Alia International Airport
Travelers arriving at Queen Alia International Airport can choose between several transportation options. The most common choices are airport taxis, buses, car rental and pre-booked private transfers. Each option can work well depending on budget, luggage, arrival time and destination, but they offer different levels of comfort and predictability.
Airport Taxi
Official airport taxis are available at the airport and can be a practical option for simple trips to Amman. They are usually easy to find outside the terminal, especially during normal arrival hours. However, for international travelers, a taxi may still require some coordination at the airport, especially if the hotel address is not well known, the destination is outside central Amman, or the passenger needs a larger vehicle for luggage.
For short city transfers, an airport taxi can be convenient. For families, groups, late-night arrivals, business trips or long-distance journeys, a pre-booked private transfer is often more comfortable because the vehicle type, pickup details and route are arranged in advance.
Airport Bus
Bus services connect Queen Alia International Airport with selected points in Amman. This can be a cost-effective choice for solo travelers with light luggage who are comfortable navigating the city after arrival. The limitation is that buses do not normally provide door-to-door service. After reaching a city stop, passengers may still need a taxi or ride-hailing service to continue to their hotel or final address.
If your flight arrives late, if you are traveling with children, or if your accommodation is not close to a bus stop, a private transfer is usually the easier option.
Car Rental
Car rental is available at the airport and may be useful for travelers planning an independent road trip around Jordan. However, driving immediately after an international flight can be stressful, especially for first-time visitors. Traffic patterns in Amman, local parking conditions, road signs, mountain roads and long intercity routes require confidence and attention.
For many visitors, using a chauffeur service or private transfer is a more relaxed way to travel, particularly for airport arrivals, hotel transfers, business appointments and full-day trips outside the city.
Pre-Booked Private Transfer
A pre-booked private transfer from Queen Alia International Airport is designed to make the arrival process simple. Your driver meets you according to the booking details, helps with the transfer to the vehicle and drives you directly to your hotel, apartment, office or resort. There is no need to search for a car on arrival, explain the route at the airport, or arrange a second connection after reaching the city.
With WelcomeTaxi, travelers can book private airport transfers in advance and choose a vehicle class that matches the number of passengers and luggage. This is especially useful for families, groups, passengers with large suitcases, VIP guests and travelers arriving for conferences, meetings or private events in Amman.
Private Transfers from AMM to Amman Hotels and Districts
Amman is spread across several hills and districts, so travel time from the airport can vary depending on the exact destination and traffic conditions. Popular areas for airport transfers include Abdoun, Sweifieh, Shmeisani, Jabal Amman, Downtown Amman, the Boulevard, the Fifth Circle, the Seventh Circle, embassy areas and major international hotels.
A private transfer is particularly useful when the destination is a private address, a villa, an embassy residence, a clinic, a university campus, or a business location that may not be obvious to a regular taxi driver. Instead of managing the route after arrival, travelers can provide the address in advance and travel directly from the airport.
For hotel guests, pre-booked transfers also help avoid confusion between hotels with similar names or properties located in different parts of the city. This is important in Amman, where distances across the city can be longer than expected and traffic can change the travel time significantly.
Chauffeur Service in Amman
WelcomeTaxi also provides chauffeur service in Amman for travelers who need more than a simple airport-to-hotel transfer. Chauffeur service can be arranged for business meetings, diplomatic visits, conferences, private events, shopping trips, restaurant transfers, medical appointments or flexible city transportation.
A chauffeur service is a good option when you need a vehicle and driver available for several hours, multiple stops or a personalized schedule. Instead of booking several separate rides, travelers can use one pre-arranged service with a professional driver who understands the itinerary and timing.
English-speaking drivers are especially valuable for international visitors in Jordan. They can help make communication easier during airport pickup, hotel drop-off, meeting transfers and long-distance journeys. This does not replace a licensed guide, but it makes transportation more comfortable and practical for foreign travelers.
Long-Distance Transfers from Queen Alia International Airport
Queen Alia International Airport is not only an entry point for Amman. It is also a convenient starting point for long-distance private transfers across Jordan. Many visitors arrive at AMM and continue directly to the Dead Sea, Petra, Wadi Musa, Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Madaba, Jerash or other destinations without staying overnight in Amman.
Pre-booked long-distance transfers are useful because public transportation in Jordan is not always convenient for travelers with luggage, fixed hotel check-in times or limited schedules. A private transfer allows passengers to travel directly from the airport to their resort, camp, hotel or private address without changing vehicles in the city.
Popular long-distance routes from Queen Alia International Airport include airport transfers to the Dead Sea resorts, private transfers to Petra, transfers to Wadi Rum camps, intercity transfers to Aqaba, and day or multi-stop transportation between Jordan’s historic and natural destinations.
Transfers to the Dead Sea, Petra, Jerash and Aqaba
The Dead Sea is one of the most popular destinations for travelers arriving through Amman Airport. A private transfer from AMM to the Dead Sea is often the most convenient way to reach resort hotels directly, especially for families and travelers with luggage.
Petra and Wadi Musa are also common destinations from Queen Alia International Airport. The journey is longer, and comfort matters more than on a short city ride. A pre-booked vehicle with enough luggage space and a professional driver is usually preferable to arranging transport after landing.
Jerash, Madaba and Mount Nebo can also be included in regional travel plans from Amman. For travelers who want to visit several places in one day or continue between cities, chauffeur service or custom long-distance transfers provide more flexibility than regular point-to-point taxi rides.
Aqaba, located on the Red Sea, is another possible long-distance destination from AMM. Although Aqaba has its own airport, some international travelers arrive in Amman and continue south by road as part of a wider Jordan itinerary.
Why Book a Private Airport Transfer Instead of a Regular Taxi?
A regular taxi can be suitable for simple transfers, but a pre-booked airport transfer offers several advantages. The main benefit is predictability. The pickup is arranged before arrival, the destination is known in advance, and the vehicle can be selected according to the number of passengers and suitcases.
This is especially important at Queen Alia International Airport because many arrivals are international, often after long flights. Travelers may be tired, unfamiliar with local transport, or traveling with children, colleagues or elderly passengers. A private transfer reduces the number of decisions that need to be made after landing.
For business travelers, a chauffeur service also creates a more professional arrival experience. For families and groups, it helps ensure that there is enough space for everyone. For long-distance routes, it provides a more comfortable and direct alternative to arranging transportation at the airport.
Local Travel Specifics in Amman and Jordan
Amman is a city where travel times can vary depending on traffic, hills, road layout and the exact district. Some hotels and private addresses are located in areas that may require precise navigation. During busy periods, travel between the airport and northern or western parts of the city can take longer than expected.
Jordan is also a country where many important destinations are outside the capital. Visitors often combine Amman with the Dead Sea, Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Jerash and Madaba. For this reason, airport transfer planning is not only about reaching the city center. It is often part of a wider itinerary.
Pre-booking a private transfer helps make this itinerary more organized. Travelers can arrange direct airport pickup, continue to a hotel or resort, and plan onward transportation without depending on last-minute availability.
Neighboring Airport: Amman Civil Airport / Marka International Airport
Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) is the main airport for Amman and the primary choice for most international passengers. Amman Civil Airport / Marka International Airport (ADJ) is also located near the city and is associated with regional, private, charter and aviation-related operations.
For most commercial arrivals to Amman, AMM remains the relevant airport. However, travelers using private aviation or selected regional services may need transfers from ADJ as well. WelcomeTaxi can support private transfers and chauffeur service from both airports when available for the requested route and vehicle class.
